Odeon Limitless
A friend just told me that Odeon have begun trialing an unlimited card for £17.50 a month. You have to sign up in person. Does anybody know anything about this?

Right, cool. It's certainly happening at Guildford. Not sure if you can pay month-by-month or have to sign up for a long term thing, though.

Excellent. Might try that out.
I wonder if it only applies to standard seating - which is expensive as it is - or if Premier seating is included as well.

Surprised by this, I thought the loop hole that allowed Cineworld to do this had been closed. Not worth it in Cardiff given the Cineworld and the better range of films it shows though.

I believe (because I read somewhere it a couple of years back, don't have a source to reference it) that Cineworld was only able to have Unlimited because of a loop hole they found that has since been closed. Supposedly the studios don't like schemes like it because it messes up the box office figures, and I'm guessing causes issues with the % they get of ticket sales.

If VUE did something similar I'd sign up.

I just signed up. Seems great value, and a no-brainer if you see at least 2 films a month. Includes premiere seating, too.

Now if only Vue would do the same, the experience at Cineworld Feltham is shocking sometimes.

Is it month-by-month or minimum contract? Also, did you do it online or just pop in to the Guildford branch?

We're getting a Cineworld next year. Knowing my luck, Odeon won't roll this scheme out here until the Cineworld has been already built and is operational!

You had to go in and do it in person. You can choose to pay month-by-month but you are still locked into a minimum 6 month deal with them. Once the scheme is out of 'beta' they expect everything to be much easier and flexible.

The staff said that the response to this has been huge and gone down extremely well, they were fully expecting it to go nationwide before the end of the year.

Got an email from Odeon today. Limitless launches March 5th.
If you register your interest just now you get a £15 bonus Odeon Voucher after you sign up.
Think it's going to be £17.50 per month.

Got my joining email from Odeon...
Prices are : £17.99 (outwith Central London) and £19.99 (including Central London).
And there is a Large Popcorn sized bucket load of T&C's here... https://www.odeon.co.uk/privacy-and-...XP4I2,ER4UB,1#
Hope that link works. It's about as long as the T&C List.
Only thing i can see of note is that you cannot book Tickets via the Mobile App, which is a bugger as i book my normal Tickets via that. But you can book Limitless Tickets via the Website so basically can still do it on the phone.
Usual upgrades just like Cineworld for 3D or Imax and Premier Seating etc.
It's all in the link including prices and what not.
Oh and the link for Joining is here : http://www.odeon.co.uk/limitless/?ut...AXP4I2,ER4UB,1
Cheers.
