Glad they detected it with their testing procedures, get well soon Sergio!

Racing Point apparently have an agreement to use Mercedes reserve drivers, I read somewhere Gutierrez was already on the way for a seat fitting, but another possibility is apparently Vandoorne though he's over in Germany preparing for Formula E at the moment.

Sounds like it may be Hulkenberg in the seat as Gutierrez would need 300kms testing to reactivate his Super Licence. That car ought to give him a decent chance at getting that elusive F1 podium finish...

Looks like Perez got COVID-19 from a visit to Mexico?

Perez: "After Hungary took a private plane to Mexico to see my mum for 2 days because she had a big accident so as soon as she left hospital I was able to see her. Then I came back to Europe, the same way with all the protocols in place and I just got it, I don’t know from where"

Masks don't stop you from getting it, just make it a lot less likely.

Thank Lucifer. They’ve changed the Alfa Romeo bumpers with Kimi for new ones. They’ll get old very quickly but I was SO over the last one.

Shame for The Hulk, all that effort for nothing. Still he should have a chance next week

Yep, they’ve not said what but the floors off and he’s gone back to his cabin.

Well that went a bit mad at the end. I hope they do keep the softer rubber for next week as it could get madder.

The Red Bull decision I'm questioning is why on earth bring Albon in for new tyres a lap or two after the first safety car, rather than under the safety car, leaving him 15 seconds behind the pack.

Yes, though to me that'd be a reason to pit him ASAP just in case while the safety car is out, can check the car without getting left too far behind. I suppose it'd make some sense if they thought the car was fine, then discovered a slow puncture - though it was a fair impact at the time.

Thank god for the last two laps as it was the least interesting British GP I could remember upto then. Bigger gap than ever between teams doesn't bode well for rest of year.

McLaren is a really good story. From where they were a couple of years ago to looking a quicker race car than Ferrari, without massive rule/spec changes, is an amazing feat.

Sainz was unlucky yesterday and Norris continues to look like a brilliant racer.
