Well that was quite a payoff, Nicely wrapped up with series 2 laid out.

Yeah, an entertaining finale with plenty of action. Despite being hugely outnumbered, you can always rely on how inept Stormtroopers are, which was nicely highlighted in the comedic opening scene.

Best thing about the show is definitely the excellent score. To move completely away from the Iconic Star Wars sound was a brave choice, which totally works...

Ok end for me, like Rogue One this is the best of Disney Star Wars so far, a solid but not spectacular start.

8 Episodes is far too short a run though for this kind of show, needs a minimum 12-15 a season.

Be interesting to see if Disney sell to other networks in time as Disney+ isn't going to make any cut through for a long time.

$15 million an episode is the claim so $120 million in total, great as it was I dont see where the money went, locations have been reused nearly 3 times even the flashback village looks a lot like navarro.

A little too much talking in this epidose - don't see why we need a history lesson on the E-Web cannon or why we give an aritrary time limit to surrender.

For 8 episodes there was more than its fair share of filler I still hold to the belief that this was a movie cut into parts with some added bits for run time.

Still do not see why Jedi are unknown to the masses would Luke's story not have been told and lauded as a hero of the New republic. There were plenty of Jedi during the clone wars so Mando should have at least heard of them, even little Anakin on tatooine had heard of the Jedi

I loved the artwork in the closing titles. I'd definitely buy some of those as posters.

I bet Pedro doesn’t shrug off being shot in the abdomen like Werner does.

When a TV series has it's first run it's usually more expensive as they have to build the sets, create the costumes etc, so usually the later series are cheaper as they don't have to do all that again.

JF said they were reusing sets and costumes already when this started to keep costs down and tbf they reused the locations quite a bit

Behind the scenes on The Mandalorian. This blew my mind! Basically a huge video wall projecting 3D environments created in the latest unreal engine. They didn't build sets! They weren't in the desert! I'm incredibly impressed.

Given Jabbit's post I am not sure that's true. Looks like they just needed a couple of Unreal Engine programmers

From that video it looks like a lot of the SFX work was pioneering, so initial costs will be higher. They've got the projector screen set all set up now, and travel costs are obviously much reduced anyway.

That looked incredibly impressive, what's even more mind boggling none of it looked digital when watching it. It all looked like location work. This could very well be a game changer especially for sci-fi and fantasy shows.
