Squeezebox - music library all over the place!

weird thing is happening now. Previously my music library would list artists and thereafter break down to show that artist's albums and tracks on the album. Last couple of week's it's changed. I go into artist, then album but now instead of an album appearing once it now appears say 12 times, with each 'album' containing only1 or 2 tracks. So whilst before I went into an album and played it in its entirety, now I can't, as each album is broken down to 'mini partial albums' .

My itunes (which it feeds from) looks the same to me as before (i.e artist/album/tracks) so really flummoxed - hope my rambling explanation makes sense - really appreciate any help - thanks

After an initial false start a few months ago I've just been reinstalling my SB over Xmas and had a similar issue.

In my case I think it was caused by the fact that the files were in different folders on my hard drive, even though they were still flagged as being from the same album.

Whereas Itunes happily just treated them all as a single album, SB for some reason treated them as mots of separate instances of the same album.

I've no idea how the albums came to be split up like that - I think I blamed it on the Itunes 'auto organise your library' feature.

Not sure if that will be the same cause of your problems but it may be wrth checking.
