World of Twist singer Tony Ogden has died

I was going to put this in the Bands that blew it thread but thought it deserved it's own. Sadly Tony Ogden passed away on July 26th.

Obituary here http://news.independent.co.uk/people...cle1209721.ece

I never saw them live but they produced some great music and could have been far bigger if they had carried on.

RIP

Shame - I did have a fondness for them back in the day. The Storm used to go down, well a storm, when I was DJ-ing

Oh no. I absolutely adore all of their stuff. I think I only listned to Quality Street last month.

"The beat breaks down, but we pick it up" - that was "the storm" wasn't it? Top song.

Don't think so fella, that was Sons of the Stage. Top tune though.

Edit: there appears to be some tracks available for download on their website http://www.worldoftwist.com/rarities.html
