Never mind how speedy the zombie is... how dopey is the (doped-up) shark...

Poor creature... happily swimming about the reef when one day he gets set about by Uncle Fulci and his exploitatative band of Italians... has a load of shark-dope rammed into its dorsal fin and then gets molested for 18 hours by some bloke wearing potter's clay on his face...

true ... funny how potter's clay was de rigueur for the zombie fraternity in the 70s/80s ...

Cheers anephric, I feel so damn guilty about liking the film now.
I always thought it was just a nice, friendly shark that just wanted to play...oh well.

Yep: a Great White would never have suffered such indignity - it would have scoffed the lot of 'em.

Out of the 74 titles I have only seen a measly 21 which I guess only makes me mildly depraved and corrupted.

Also one film in particular has took my fancy, Forest of Fear.I've tried to track it down on dvd with no luck so I assume it hasn't been released yet on the dvd format. It sounds great - zombies created from hippies smoking weed which has been contaminated by pesticide and they go on a flesh-eating rampage...wow!
Anyone seen it and is it as good as it sounds?

31, and I remember very little of many of 'em, seeing how...

a) most were viewed on shoddy VHS dupes and were unremarkable in the first place
b) I was in the age range 15-18
c) they were crap.

I certainly wouldn't bother watching them now...

i cut out the synopsises (synopsi?), but most of them sounded god-awful ... and you just know the acting / budget / sfx were poor - you can tell by all the "aka"s that many were just cheap cash-ins on mainstream movies ...

Yeah the majority on the list that I've seen are total trash and probably best forgotten and no doubt they would've been if they hadn't been banned in the first place.

That and Dead & Buried.

I also have no conception as to why Inferno was ever considered exceptionally objectionable. Tenebrae, just about. Inferno, no.
