Just how uncut is the "uncut" R1 version of Cliffhanger??

Hi,

I have just ordered the R1 copy of this DVD from future ent, Its my first time ordering with them, as i usually use play or cdwow, but i'm just wondering if the film is fully uncut?

I remember hearing something about the film being pre cut by the studio before its release in the US.
I know the UK version is butchered.

Would the R3 Asian version CDWOW are selling be totally uncut?

Cheers.

Here you go

R1 - No cuts

R2 - 1 minute 25 seconds of cuts to the violence in this film, particularly the scene where Delmar (Craig Fairbrass) plays 'soccer' with Hal (Michael Rooker) on the cliff-top. Most of this scene was cut for the original cinema release, and an additional 16 seconds were cut for video. The cuts also include a line of racist dialogue from Delmar. Momentum submitted the uncut version for an 18 certificate but was refused.

R2 Japan - No cuts

R4 - No cuts - the disc is the uncut French mastered release

Listen to the commentary, i think Renny mentions a couple of times the things he had to cut out before it was released in the US, stuff like only having one shotgun blast instead of seven.

When people say "uncut", what they mean is the least cut version available. In the case of American films, the MPAA often demand cuts for whatever rating the film gets in America. In 99% of cases, the MPAA approved version is what gets released worldwide.

Would the R3 cut be the same print as used for the R1?

I may cancel my order at future ent, as they are taking a lifetime to ship the products i ordered, though I have never cancelled an order before.

I have a funny feeling that cancelling an order at Future Entertainment carries a small charge as well, just to warn you.
