[Blu-ray] Flash Gordon

Be interesting to see how the UK Optimum release compares. They won't have the same special features.

There is no UK release. It's been deleted.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. I was down to review it and got the email today. Quite gutted in fact.

Lovely indeed, though I never realised that Hawkman's face was all over the place...

plus you can see the join of Max Von Sydow's beard. Never mind, he's still the best Ming.

The UK Blu Ray is deleted ? Can someone explain this please as my Amazon order still shows as valid for 28 June despatch and seems to be showing elsewhere too. Thanks

OK thanks - be nice if Amazon let me know. I suppose they will at some point.

BTW the normally reliable ********* site says the US blu ray wont work in the UK ?? Perhaps they havent updated their site yet ? I mention it as I'd be keen to buy the US blu now.

It's definitely region free. Mine arrived earlier in the week and plays fine on my region B machine.

I hope Optimum have sorted out the sound on the UK BD release. The previous DVD anniversary tin release had a nasty fake 5.1 upmix from the stereo optical track.

I'd wait for a review before putting any cash down for that version.
