Lucifer might have been one of many middling TV series but Tom Ellis was so convincing in the title role that I would have difficulty in accepting him in any other role from now on.

Apparently 2 episodes from Season 4 were already in the can, so will be aired next week

Hopefully the writers will raise their game now they've been given a second chance. Apparently only ten episodes, so there is hope we get quality over quantity.

I also guess it would be too much to ask that we get a more "adult" version of the show, now that it has left the restrictions of US Network TV & we get a show closer to the feel of the original comics?

Felt season 3 dropped off so didn't really rush to watch Season 4.

But, my word, it's a real step up, really enjoying it. Eve is quite pleasant to watch too.

Latest season seems to have dropped yesterday. Wasn't expecting that.

Watched the first 8 episodes of series 5 at the weekend, started a little weak but starts to get better from episode 5 onward.

Watch the first 3. Still great fun, though I really could have done with a 'Previously on Lucifer' at the beginning. It's been almost a year & a half since the last season dropped & I had no clue what was going on for most of the first episode...

Anyone know if the second half of the season has been filmed, or are Netflix just dragging it out by splitting in in 2?

I got a lengthy previous season recap before episode one started.

I too have watched the first three & still enjoy the ongoing story & most of the characters. Just a shame that the actual episodic crime stories continue to be limp & dull.

I'm finding it harder and harder to remember what's gone on in previous seasons of every show I watch these days, probably doesn't help that I no longer watch each week and prefer to wait until all eps have aired and watch an episode a day so most seasons covered in under a fortnight, but if anyone is struggling like me to remember what happened previously then I would recommend you do a search on YouTube for a season recap. Netflix and HBO not only post the official "previously on" segments there (which usually run no longer than 3mins), but if it's a popular enough show then fans will have posted a more intensive summary. Obviously Lucifer's quite a popular mainstream show so searching for "Lucifer Season 4 recap" will give you plenty of options of varying lengths depending on how intensive you want it to be. I wish I had those options when I needed a recap for s2 of The Deuce last week!

Regarding the second half of S5, they were halfway through completing the final 16th episode when lockdown kicked in. They restart filming that next week & once they complete that, they go immediately on to filming S6.

Enjoyed all of it, even if the writing was extraordinarily lazy at times

& Tom Ellis' American accent was terrible. I recall it being kinda great in his previous series, Rush.

But yes, that cliffhanger ending cracked me up.

enjoying it (on ep 5) but the killer part of the story each episode is not well written

Slightly blown away to find out that Mazikeen was Naevia in the first series of Spartacus, back when the character was believable.

I'm struggling to find anything positive to say about Season 5 so far. I thought the first 2 episodes were poor but the next 2 were even worse

I've got one more episode to go in the first set of 8 and I really hope it improves.
