Bit of a clear out by all accounts.
I don't believe that, especially not Fosu-Mensah, and when Rojo and Jones are not on the list.

Who are they, how much would they be, and will their clubs release them?

Only player I'd have over him is verratti but PS3 won't let him go.

Has there been a day this week where the red tops haven't stated exclusively that Pogba will be signing tomorrow ??

There was a Man U fan on the radio last night asking whether the Pogba signing would indicate a sign of desperation form the current regime (he wasn't very good at the Euros or with Juve last year according to him) or a failing of Ferguson in letting him go in the first place (Ł90M+ is a pretty costly mistake) ?

Agreed. I think some would be loans for experience. Cameron B-J, Tim FM, Periera deffo have a future at the club, just need experience. Adnan, the jury is out, he hasn't kicked on, but was that LVG or him? As much as I despise Moyes, he did well with Adnan, so perhaps a loan there would be useful, but its nearly crunch point.

Wilson & Keane are not good enough and will probably be sold. Schweinsteiger just doesn't seem up to it anymore, and looks off the pace like Falcao. So will be dissapointed that it didnt work out, because he was outstanding, but think he will be sold. Rojo has to go as well - awful player. Then maybe one more midfielder from Mata, Herrera and Fellaini to go.

So think three first teamers to go Schweinsteiger, Rojo + midfielder. A couple of youngsters sold and a few out on loan. I don't see 8/9 players being sold.

You of all people should know never to believe the red tops .....lol , it's a lot of money , the lad is 23 , his best years ahead of him and Ferguson had nothing to do with him leaving

Ferguson didn't want to sanction a huge contract before he'd proven himself, from what I remember. Seems silly now, but in the context of keeping a squad happy, perhaps understandable.

Wilson went to Brighton last year and spent most of the season throwing up. Not sure if he's just having a poor spell or if he's just not got the bottle for a proper team, but I'd be sad to see him go without at least one more chance.

5-2 win, Mata's goal the pick of the bunch. And Pogba has landed in the UK.

Pretty good day for MUFC.

Oh really? Damn. Thought this was the start of the end of the saga. Saw this photo on Twitter, must be an old one.

Edit just to add, the other nice thing about yesterday was lots of wing play and early crosses into the box. I know anyone can look good in pre-season and it means nothing until the opener, but the ponderous patient attacking play of Van Gaal and Moyes was the most frustrating thing over the last few years. Early signs are that we're going to try and hit teams down the flanks and get as much as possible into the box as soon as possible. That can only be a good thing.

Why would he be with Ashley Young?

Blimey you're in a picky mood today. Because i thought he'd landed in the UK. But then I was corrected and I went on to say it must have been an old photo.

I'm pretty sure it's all explained in the previous posts!

That thread is mental. I joined just to be able to reply then discovered they expect you to contribute to a newbie forum for potentially a long time (depending on how prolific you are, to get a number of likes). Given I have time to post a few times a week at most, we will have bought griezmann before I get there!).

It's an insight into the minds of people though. It's incredible how well people can interpret things to suit their thoughts. The same "evidence" that is proof he will sign for one person, is proof that he won't, for someone else.

Personally, I think he will sign but not as cut and dried as some expect.

Is LVG still in charge? The match last night was pretty bad - was in Manchester yesterday in nearly stayed over to go to the game. Glad I didnt, but it is only preseason.

Shaw looked impressive, didn't have any hard tackles and that might be the real test, but he wasn't tentative and had good pace. Really pleased he's back. Zlatan showed he has a great touch - and that was about all I could take from the game.
