I have been a huge fan of Mata previously. I'd like to think he can still offer us something in the future, but he's not the man for this moment.

We need an ankle biter to pick the tempo up - like the one that we just let go to PSG.

De Gea, Dalot, Tuanzebe, Maguire, Young, Fred, McTominay, Pereira, Mata, James, Rashford

First week into October and Ł200 million spent and that is our first team.

Poor.

Ravaged by injuries, no backups. The squad depth is poor.

Not all bad, we have one of the best sideways passing teams in the league!

...very, very poor

It just gets worse and worse...2 points above the relegation zone now! Absolutely no positives from this game...hard to see Ole surviving for much longer

There's no excuse for turning out football like this every week. Have we even hit the target yet?

Doubt it. Maguire has had the most touches in their area.

As soon as (or if) they can convince Allegri, Ole is out, although Woodward should go first. Not sure we'd want Potch any more

Our next game is a (home) banker.

I don't want to look. From memory, it's "them" isn't it?

Yes.

You never know, we may end the run, but I highly ******* doubt it.

Final nail in the coffin for successive managers?

9 points from 8 games, but it's more than that. There's that awful run at the end of last season too.

Hard to excuse it, but no idea if a change would make any difference. There is a squad full of bang average players and the odd gem that is in there is being sucked into the mediocrity.

Really hard to see this getting any better! I know we had injuries but a fully fit United team is mid table at best. We are heading down to the relegation zone and when the inevitable (...and painful) happens with an annihilation by Liverpool, serious decisions have to be made

No doubt Pogba will be touting himself across Europe before long, can't imagine him wanting to go down with the SS MUFC!

I've just seen the team.

I'm going to walk the dog.

edit: I lied. I watched every minute of it. We look like we give a damn, which is a new thing. Quality still lacking but nice to see an effort put in.

I backed Man U on the exchange at 4.5 before the match, cashed out at 1-0
And put the profits into the draw.

Exactly how I expected it to go tbh. Much better from MU

You can't buy class, but you can buy enthusiasm.

https://www.prweek.com/article/16633...gue-home-games

Quote:
Manchester City is looking for influencers to attract new fans to its home Champions League fixtures against 'relatively unknown teams' amid concerns not enough 'core supporters' will turn up.

The Premier League champions have run an ad on influencer marketing platform Tribe, asking for posts to "get across the great atmosphere of the Etihad".

To apply, influencers with at least 5,000 followers need to submit a shot that showcases "the electrifying atmosphere that only Champions League live football matches can deliver".

The content should be "fan-centric" and have "an element of FOMO". The club is asking influencers to set a fee for their work (see full Tribe ad below).

The influencer campaign is an unusual step by a club to drum up interest for the most prestigious club football competition in the world.

The campaign comes as new research shows the majority of Manchester City’s followers on social media channels are fake.
Well we need something to laugh about off the pitch, as we continue to provide the comedy on it.

That VAR decision is outrageous. Never a penalty.

edit: the handball one was a pen.

VAR is an atmosphere killer.

Twenty minutes were good at the start. Since then, nothing. And no sign of anything happening now.

Pretty much full strength team, no excuses...this is as good as it gets! Massively disappointing but I can't see Ole lasting into the New Year...gutted (...even more gutted that I still force myself to watch this torture!)
