Fully agree. I thought the episode was ok, and I loved Lost, but that doesn't mean I want to see its worst traits showing up here.

Also this jumping backwards and then overlapping from another perspective is sort of interesting and kinda annoying as you know it's being used to drag things out a bit too much.

It never even occurred to me that they were suggesting crazy tower guy might be able to see Patti. I just took it to mean he saw Kevin having a conversation with thin air and was commenting on his "imaginary friend" and that's how Kevin interpreted it too. Pretty sure if it was a "Lost" style thing suggesting crazy tower guy can see Patti they'd have made a much bigger deal of it.

Never thought Christopher Eccleston would get his sonic screwdriver out again!

Brilliant episode. Will be devastated if this show isn't renewed

I'm with you, loving this show! Thought Christopher Ecclestone was brilliant in that episode.

Amazing again this week. That scene with Regina King and Carrie Coon has to go down as one of the year's - and the series' - very best. Incredibly powerful.

Caught up with the Christopher Eccelstone episode last night. Brilliant stuff but you just knew what was going to happen when he stopped to help that guy on the road who had broken down.

I totally agree but to be fair, that scene was the only one in the episode that was predictable. The remainder of the episode was full of unpredictable moments. It's just one of the many elements that I love about the show, that you just never know what's going to happen next.

Brilliant soundtrack. Again.

I've been listening to the S1 soundtrack a lot lately. Beautiful piano music but crikey it bums me out. Very haunting and introspective.

Unbelievable television!

Somehow I don't think we're going to find out what happens next until the final episode.

This show is just incredible. I don't know what to believe anymore. They do such an excellent job of making things both believable from a logical scientific perspective and yet also plausible as a supernatural situation. We're left to make our own conclusion.

This is television at its best. It makes you think and drawn your own conclusions rather then beating you over the head with the plot like normal network television.

Agreed and as much as I didn't take to the new theme song the lyric 'I think I'll just let the mystery be' is suitably poignant for this series.

I just shouted WTF at the end, brilliant, just brilliant. Great use of music this week, I had to feel for Laurie it is not easy looking at pictures of a ex partners new family. Can't wait for the next episode.

Well that was awesome. Best episode since the Reverand meltdown in S1 for me. Completely bonkers right from the first minute... felt like it was written by Kubrick and Charlie Kaufman! And good to see them directly continue it from the previous episode as well... I'm getting real tired of shows continuing big cliffhangers later in the season as a cheap ploy to keep people tuned in (here's looking at you The Walking Dead)

EDIT: Saw a nice explanation on IMDb for those confused:

Count me as another fan. Terrific final scene too and a perfect closing line, probably echoing most viewers' thoughts. Gutted there's only two episodes left, and seriously hope there's going to be a season three.

a great episode - read that it was co-written by Carlton Cuse's son which I guess added to the Lost-like feel of the episode
