Muse - The 2nd Law

First teaser for their new album 'The 2nd Law'

I likey, got a dub step feel to it which will divide opinion I'm sure but from that teaser I'm looking forward to it.

More Wembley dates this year then??

Hmmmm.... I don't really know what to think of that.

I just hope it's good live. The Resistance had one or two decent tracks on it, but pretty much everything except for Uprising was a show-stopper....

Muse are a band that I look forward to the new album...then I end up underwhelmed, and barely ever listen to them.

Funny I was only just thinking today when they were going to release a new album.

Is that actually one of the songs though? Sounds like a remix of one.

I'm thinking the more classical/dramatic stuff in the first half of the video is sampled from a different track to the bass-y/dub-steppy/riffy stuff with the robot in the second half.

UK arena tour in October/November. Tickets go on sale Thursday 14th.

No idea whether to see them again or not (seen them four years on the trot now), I caved-in last year because of the Origin set. It all depends on the new album, which obviously isn't out until September...

Saying that, getting tickets for anything but seating in the O2 is a massive ballache anyway.

Also: Album release date confirmed as 17/09/12 worldwide (18/09/12 for US, Canada, Italy and Spain).

There's a thing on their official site where you can put your name down for up to 4 standing/general admission tickets to any of their gigs and it's basically drawn randomly and the money taken. Worth a try surely.

Refuse to see them live anymore. I went to Wembley on the Friday and then on the Saturday they said the audience were the real fans

I saw them on that Friday too. I was more annoyed by the fact that they did a better set on the Saturday.

Saw them three years ago at the O2 on the Saturday and was thankful I caught the better setlist (Cave FTW).

Stupidly, without thinking, I've applied for tickets on the Friday show this time....

Wish I didn't do this. I've had no confirmation on whether I've received the tickets or not (I suspect I haven't), the money is still being held from my bank, and now I haven't got enough dosh left to try again when they properly go on sale tomorrow. What a monumental balls up.

Just got round to watching the album trailer. So they fancy a slice of the Skrillex pie then?

Still going to go for tickets tomorrow, but the stuff in that video is very generic.

Looking forward to this. My brother (AKPiggott on here) tried getting tickets but was unsuccessful. Straight away there was people selling them for atleast 200 each on eBay.

Yep, tried both the presale and general sale and got nowhere! (not strictly true, I got four seated tickets at one point, but I rejected them)

It always baffles me a bit how quickly the tickets sell. I've seen Muse four times now, so I know they're big, but I rarely ever hear them outside of my own personal listening. They're not like Katy Perry or Lada Gaga in that you're constantly bombarded with their crap music everwhere you turn...

So by that rationale: Katy Perry or Lady Gaga tickets should be like rocking horse ****, right?

New single, Unsustainable, to be played on Radio 1 tonight at 7:30.

[EDIT: It's the official song for the Olympics! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-18607319]

Well, that was rubbish.... Overly cheesy and just plain crap... Oh, and don't get me started on the choir bits.

(and the single is called "Survival" and not "Unsustainable", as reported earlier...)

With this and the underwhelming dubstep trailer from a couple of weeks back, my hopes are dwindling....
