AB was so disappointing. I love most Phillip K Dick adaptations but while it was nice the plot was rubbish

That's because they are 'based on' rather than straight adaptations true to the original style of the stories which would have you complaining that they were mind mangling and hard to follow with downer endings. As such Adjustment Bureau is just as faithful to the orignal story as any other adaptation of a Dick story.

Wouldn't Source Code essentially become a Quantum Leap reboot? with out Al?

Personally i though Adjustment Bureau was excellent and should be praised for not dumbing down and being another Matrix rip off. I've not read the book but it felt very 'Dick'. Oooeeerrrrr....

Can't say i won't it to be a TV show though. It'll just be some one with a hat walking through a different door every week.

There is no book as with most Dick adaptations (aside from Bladerunner and Scanner) it's a short story so they'll just use the title for a collection. The ending wasn't very Dick as he likes downers (uppers, halucinogenics but mainly speed)
Scanner is a lot more faithful to the book but then it's Linklater who is above par for a Dick director on the whole.
