One LE's a tin with digi book inside ala BTTF, and the other the same but you also get a T-Rex model with it.

The contents of the disc is the same across all three.

Ok thanks.

I think I'll wait for a single release of the first film. The movie on release was huge! It was more than just a movie, but an event. It spawned the whole dinosaur craze amongst the kids and remember lots of documentaries about the possibility of bringing extinct creatures back to life through DNA. Good times!

The movie itself, well I used to love it but not so much anymore. I don't have a problem with the slow beginning, in fact the build up is great (they arrive in the morning and by night all hell breaks loose). But it just seems a bit meh now.

Does anyone have the Chinese DVD which reportedly has higher bitrates than the JPN Superbit? I have this but not really sure how they compare in reality. Biggest problem is the forced Chinese translations of on screen text.

It was huge at the the time, i was only 7 when it came out and remember all the toys you could get. Some of my friends wen to see it but i did'nt at the time. I'am pretty sure i saw The Lost World at the cinema which was also quite a big deal when it came out i remember Weetabix were doing a promotion where once you'd collected enought tokens and sent like £2 in the post they send you a lost world wrist watch. Me and my oldman both got one, mine got thrown out ages ago though but the oldman still has his lying around.

Jurassic Park was massive back in the day. enjoyed every moment of it. Sadly Hollywood fails to understand what made it so great back then nowadays.

Yeah, JP1 was huge. Loved it then, and I still do.

JP1 was possibly the greatest teen cinema experience of my life.

Personally I cannot wait to see JP2 on BR. Some of the FX work is astounding. Plus the island locations are beautiful and John William' score is amongst his best in my opinion.

Theres a few too many 'one liners' from Goldblum, the San Francisco ending feels a bit out of place, the severed hand at the wheel of the boat bugs the hell out of me (the T-Rex was still in the hold!!!) but generally I love JP2 almost as much as I love JP1.

JP3... well, what do you expect... it's a Joe 'should have stuck to production design' Johnston film :/

I don't mind JP3 at all (it was on the telly last night). I'm sure in any "rubbish" poll, JP2 would be top. Universal are being very wise in just releasing the box set.

4 reasons from the top of my head.

Ah never realised that. Does make more sense that.

I always figured that maybe the baby T-Rex broke out and munched on the crew but that always seemed a bit far fetched given how easily they had it sedated etc at the park.

The velociraptors were the best thing about that film.

The baby T-Rex was taken back separately on a plane.

Watched all three of them again recently, & I still find the second film the weakest. The main problem for me is that the dinos went from "Aaaaargh! ****! Dinosaurs are going to eat us!" to "Aww, the poor ickle dinosaurs are being hurt by the nasty hunters"

Remember seeing Jurrassic Park on opening day in june whilst in US, massive q's. Universal had taken full page ads in entertainment section of local papers listing which screens showing JP in new DTS sound format. Can't remember the cinema but was in Texas somewhere (Dallas/Fort Worth area I think)

That summer also saw Cliffhanger at Cinedome in Orange Co, LA -fantastic cinema - massive screen, fantastic sound - certain it was a 70mm print

Doh! Of course it did. Been a while since I've seen it. Yep the boat scene makes no sense whatsoever.
