X Factor USA

Despite all the hype about presenters, I hadn't realised that this was kicking off this week. First audition show done apparently. Does anyone know if this is going to be shown on UK TV - ITV2 perhaps? Had a quick look through the Sky Guide but I don't see it.

It only started shooting on Sunday, it won't air until September in the US as part of the new "fall" season on Fox. I'm guessing we'll get it a day or so after on ITV2 as we do American Idol.

First audition was done weeks ago. I don't really know how they did it without the judges. There's still one judge left to announce IIRC. It's LA Reid, girl from Girls Aloud and Cowell plus one more.

I do wonder how America will take to La Cole and Steve Jones, especially with their accents.

I wonder how this will coexist with American Idol which is massive in the States.

I reckon it will take over from Idol. Not a huge fan of SC but I have to admit that Idol is flat without him.

I read something last year that in the new deal ITV had signed with Cowell it included showing X Factor U.S. over here and I guess as you say it will quickly follow like American Idol does now.

So, the US X Factor sacked Cheryl Cole because audiences can't understand her.

How come when I sacked Mohammed for the same reason, I ended up in front of a tribunal for unfair dismissal on grounds of racism?

i wouldn't be surprised if it's just a publicity stunt - nicole scherzinger in a sideline role while relative unknown cheryl cole is a judge & mentor? didn't make sense from the start. nothing would surprise me where SC / xfactor is concerned. either she was set up from the start, or she'll be (shock) reinstated.

As terrible as Cole must feel right now, it's probably not as terrible as the girl she punched in the face in the bogs felt. Never forget people, never forget....

It must have been a set-up, this show thrives on creating false 'scandals' and increasing it's press coverage. Every year there's some sort of scandal in the UK x-factor, like when they 'sacked' Walsh, and then suprise, suprise, brought him back. This show reminds me more and more of WWE wrestling, where it's all just scripted drama/entertainment and the 'competition' element is basically just a farce - but then that's why i like it!

Yeah but with this the only people getting any "entertainment" from it are us in the UK! I doubt anyone in 'Merica gives a ****! She's just another nobody who never was over there and probably isn't even on anyone's radar.

Completely agree this was a publicity stunt from the start. They knew what her accent was like when it was announced then a couple of weeks later she's suddenly dropped without even airing one show (hence no audience feedback).

And now the red tops are making her out to be a victim (again)...so she'll come back to the UK XF and say that's where her heart always was...to mass applause...yawn
