Will their 'big trip' this time be to Australia or NZ? They seem to have done all the other continents now.

Nice to have it back, but a patchy opener IMHO.

The Reliant bit was funny, & the volcano bit was beautifully shot, if a bit short & pointless.

Stars in a reasonably priced car was an exact re-run of the last time they changed the car. Very poor. Surprised the boys didn't pay more attention to Peta Todd.

& is it me, or is Hammond taking fashion tips from Clarkson now?

FYI: if anyone's interested, Eric Bana's car documentary Love the Beast, which features Clarkson, is on More4 on Tuesday night at 10pm

Apart from the boring 'stars in a reasonably priced car' segment which I detest each week, not a bad opening. The reliant segment was fun

Didn't they drive up a volcano last year, in Peru? And you may laugh once at JC rolling over in the Robin but six times?????? A previous poster was dead right: record from now on and fast forward.

Some of that rolling the Robin looked downright painful.

Thought the Robin part was excellent, really obvious and staged maybe, but was just funny to see it happening.

As long as he didn't break the speed limit he's fine, as that's the only dangerous thing that can happen on a road

It's probably says a lot about me but I would have been happy to have watched the Reliant Robin turning over for the whole hour. In fact I'd quite like to give it a go myself. There is a blue one parked in my road at this very moment.

Found it boring, the volcano car was just a waste of TV time, the 3 wheeler thing was funny first time, then zzzzz and it went went on far too long, as did 'Really nice Car'.

They should have built their own 3 wheelers - proper ones with the single wheel at the rear.

Nah 2 on the left and 1 on the right, I bet Hammond would cheat and get a sidecar.

#9 above was the bit that cracked me up!

When Clarkson was fixing the Robins instability I thought he would drive out a Relient Kitten.

Missed it, must have been watching the football. Is it repeated this week on BBC HD?

EDIT: Found it, 9pm on Wednesday

yesterday's Capital Breakfast was quite amusing with Lisa Snowdon winding up Jonny Vaughan after having been beaten by Peta

Enjoyed it - volcano drive and the Relient more than the serious review. Was wondering did they fix up the car to make it turn even more easily than it would ordinarily, still funny though.

Did anyone else notice they relied on the old trick of tilting the camera in order to make some of the descents in the 4x4 look steeper

Just caught the end of the repeat and saw the end credits that were missing from my Sky+ on Sunday and saw that the copyrigfht year was "MMXX" . Typo or joke I didn't get?
