As mentioned above, there'll be a Christmas special, but the new series isn't due to start until sometime in January (rumour is January 23rd)

Podcaster? He's a TV/radio presenter. He used to do Loveline back when MTV was good (or better) and also the radio version of the show

As good as Clarkson is, he is nowhere near the genius of Carolla.
Believe Carolla did the original pilot, but couldn't do the series as he was filming a sit-com pilot for NBC

Finally got around to watching this today.

You stuck it longer than I did - that Viper vs Helicopter piece was dire and more like an amateur YouTube video (avec helicopter, of course).

I watched the rest of the show on 8x fast forward thinking that something interesting might happen but nope.

I think that Top Gear Oz is much better

Seems we'll be getting 2 episodes of Top Gear this Christmas.

Tuesday December 21st (8pm) looks like a regular episode, with the boys taking a road trip up the US east coast in a Mercedes SLS, a Porsche 911 GT3 & a Ferrari 458 Italia, plus all the regular news & star in the reasonably priced car stuff.

Then on Boxing Day at 8pm we get the Middle East Special when the trio follow the path of the three wise men in open-top sports cars.

Heads up guys. The first of 2 Christmas Top Gear episodes is on tonight at 8pm on BBC 2 and BBC HD.

Quote:
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May compare the Mercedes SLS, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Ferrari 458 Italia in an epic road trip up America's east coast. Along the way they undertake a series of challenges culminating in a fight to find the fastest way into New York, all in the name of crowning the world's greatest sports car. Plus, a round up of car-related Christmas stuff and another celebrity takes to the track as the star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Thanks, Sky EPG has it listed as episode 7/7 which is a bit confusing since it is new.

From the trailers at the start it looks like we are going to see the Aussie episode or at least some of the challenges.

Interesting ep, quite good I thought. Was surprised just how much was directed at the splitter. Also interesting in light of who the driving instructor is now.

Are we to assume no Stig then? Which is odd in light of that advert.
