No worries

I'm concerned about the book type packaging with the BDs in slots

I was thinking that too. If it's a collection of 23 fat amaray cases I'll be amazed.

Apparently this is how the set is going to look, with two book type packages. I was really hoping for individual cases, but this seems to be like the US Alien and Star Wars Blu-ray sets. Does anyone know if they actually can scratch the discs when taking them in and out of the slots? I Hope not . Still, it does look rather classy . And the UK version may well have different packaging like the previous sets I mentioned.

Blu Rays are very hard to scratch to an extent that they are damaged when playing, however when I get this sort of packaging I do take them out and but them in clear plastic wallets

These things rarely travel (or last) well. Expect loose discs and torn inserts

Fingers crossed for some bespoke covers online, I'll stock up on empty boxes just in case

I like that packaging. Nice and space saving.

Just rip them to your media server and put the set away for safe keeping!

Regardless, if scratches causes playback issues. I do not want to pay for discs that scratch every time the discs come in and out of the packaging. I already had the numerous times in the past.

I have several Blu Rays scratched enough to stop playback during watching it when renting from Lovefilm. Blu Rays are not as tough as some people think.

the list posted yesterday - and included in the official press release - was simply a "marketing highlights" summary. The complete list of extras on the Bond 50 discs is significantly longer.

Only a few have been released so difficult to tell until reviews start appearing around September time.

I've got the original Connery era Blu Rays and the picture quality is stunning so the new Blu's should be no different, Licence to Kill looks good as well

I've got Dr No, Russia and Goldfinger and they look mightily impressive. Especially Dr No.

It was a standard release at Cannes - even The Digital FIx posted exactly the same amount of info that day.
