No shipping email yet for my order, but given that until about lunchtime the card they had on record wouldn't have worked*, I'm hoping it'll ship tomorrow.

Odd there are no reviews of the Blu-ray set yet.

*It looks like anime-on-line had their site/system hacked, as loads of people who ordered from there seem to have had their cards compromised (and both my CC's were out of action until I got a new one this morning).

The cancel button has disappeared from my Tesco Entertainment order so it should be on its way very soon and seeing as they use next day courier fir high value orders there is a chance it will be here Friday

Hopefully Barclaycard have not screwed up my cheap Bond order at HMV. Had a fraud prevention call last night as they tried to process 3 HMV transactions including Bond. Strange they thought it was dodgy as in the past have had multiple HMV transactions on same day.

Very true!

It's just that occasionally I get on my high horse about relatively inconsequential things...

Anybody know what carrier HMV are using at the moment? Had no tracking info from them so does that mean Royal Snail?

All the sad people on the bluray.com forums who have been seemingly phoning HMV hourly since Wednesday asking for delivery updates.

It seems that HMV did like Apple do for launches pack the goods up and charge you but only release to the courier in this case Hermes on Friday for reportedly a Monday delivery.

Also they seem to have ignored delivery address selection and because of value shipped everyone's orders to the customers card billing address.

Some people have received the set from Tesco today, who also used courier delivery, but seems hit and miss. If shipped its with you otherwise still pending and won't ship with them now until next week.

Thanks, can't really complain if it arrives on Monday. Still hoping for tomorrow though...

Hermes have been told by HMV to hold onto the orders until today.

Did they do that from the iPhone 5 queue? Honestly, I despair just how important insignificant things are to some people, so assume they have very little else in their lives to focus on.

I got the HMV shipping email on Wednesday - it arrives when it arrives. I remember recently when I bought a Panasonic 55VT50 on release and there were people on other forums saying they couldn't sleep because of the anticipation. Get a ******* life.

Thanks for the info.

Whereas I don't consider myself to be one of the "sad people", it would be nice to have an idea when it's arriving as somebody needs to be in to receive it. Unless of course Hermes try to force it through the letterbox...

Based on what people have said on bluray.com forums, Hermes need a signature but will try all your neighbours to leave with if you are out. They also supposedly leave you a card to say who has it. Given never had a delivery from them can't confirm accuracy.

Thanks malcy.

I've no experience of them, either, but looking at their website (I'm assuming it's myHermes) they seem to operate in a similar way to Collect+, i.e. there are local "ParcelShops" and they use local couriers.

I have a regular delivery person using their own car that delivers for several companies including Hermes.

As expected, mine's not turned up yet (no problem with me), but I've just got my Cabin in the Woods from HMV, which I haven't even had a despatch note for.

catalogue.

My previous fears have been confirmed.

The discs don't slide out of the top. They're crammed air tight against the cardboard backing in a circular gap the same size as the discs.

There's basically no way to get them out...

Well, you can bend the backing to create a gap around the disc, then shove your nail against the back of the disc to prise it up, then grip the delicate info part of the disc with your finger and yank.

Box looks lovely though....Shame we can't watch the films. Great idea!!
