Have to say I really enjoyed that. Although the ending was a little too overdone, I did feel the last line 'I don't want to go!' was heartfelt.

Can't help wondering though - that if RTD has now wrapped up any dangling endings with all the old companions etc, where does that leave the spin-off shows?

Loved the concept that the regeneration wiped out the TARDIS interior - guess we will be getting a new one to go with the new Doctor and new Police Box prop already seen out in the wild.

Oh, and it looks like we have a new war-cry too - 'Geronimo!'

Yeah Romana would seem very possible.

No as Romana stayed in E-space in the E-space trilogy episodes with the original K9 in the last arc episodes before Tom Baker's regeneration into Peter Davidson!

I thought the Dr Who did that.. he broke something and sent the Tardis on a collision course with Earth because he was super upset.. kind of an f u to the new guy taking over his body. Like when he went around giving his friends lottery tickets and saving lives which he was very much not meant to to do.... being a time lord and all. The end might have been over sentimentalised but it was also kind of badass. He was upset so he took some frickin liberties for once.

Only if you include the dialogue in the 1996 TV movie, which nobody - including Russell Davies - does.

There is no reason she couldn't have gone back to Gallifrey. Who knows.

Be honest, could any of us EVER come up with a show that had a man that cannot die and a time machine AND use both of these aspects as little as recent Dr Who's ?

Oh how I would love someone to actually make use of these two elements, esp the time machine part.

This crossed my mind for a second aswell, but IIRC Blink had 3 angels who formed the circle at the end?

Ignoring the huge (expected) plot holes, I enjoyed that a lot more than a fair few of his other episodes. A lot less shouty and less running is always a good thing. However, this was replaced by the long drawn out regeneration and compulsory gay reference instead

Since when did the actual regeneration go into Highlander mode

Surprised nobody had mentioned the Ginger reference by the new who. Wonder if they will get any complaints about that

Forgot to mention that RTD has killed off The Master completely now. So no chance of return for him, theoretically.

Just re-watched that bit and he says "I'm still not ginger". So I guess they will get away with that as an anti-quip

Thought it was a load tripe with technobabble that would put an epiosde of Voyager to shame.

How come the Tardis didn't explode when Eccles Cake regenerated?

Yeah, but the Doc wants to have Celtic roots, so the joke's on everyone.

But who shot first, Captain Jack or Alonso?

I thought the scene was based on The Shadow Proclamation? Granted it resembled the scene from Star Wars but then so would any scene featuring a h containing a variety of different species.
