Nothing really wrong with adding "de Lacy" to your name, it just proves how dumb people are to be impressed by names, but his mistake is to go around telling people he added it!

i'll watch it, of course, but its not like it matters who wins, what have any of the winners done? are they even working for amstrad anymore? even the most recent one doesn't seem to.

And its not really "who does best", it was "who does the boss like". he said he could not have worked with the lady who was runner up last time - well why pick her to apply then. best person should win, but never does. its the youngest, most mallable and then they can't do their new job and quit. daft.

Indeed, the only people who seem to have achieved anything from it is Saira Khan who pops up on the odd daytime TV show or the BBC One Show type of evening light affairs stuff, and who I hated when she was on The Apprentice, but now I find her reports quite interesting, she still speaks quite slowly, but not as condescendingly slowly as she did back then. And the other is James Max, who did great things with the wolf jacket on QVC if I remember rightly, he is now a regular presenter on LBC radio, and I really like him on there, I'm a member of his facebook friends

Both of those were Series 1, when the series concept was new, and better for it; and they both seem to have fallen into natural presenting roles by a certain amount of chance. Several of the later series participants seemed to be only in it to get themselves a meedja career, like whatever her name was that was pleased with herself for stealing husbands, and they've all failed miserably, you never hear of them now, and rightly so.

But yes I shall be watching tonight to see what they are like

Mmmmm - you sound like a great bloke.
Well with his "lesbian in drag" look he has to do all he can to distract people I guess.

As for Alex Wotherspoon "He's single but has a girlfriend." What?!

They sound like a lovely bunch of ***** and *****!

Can't wait!

So what's the formula to win?

1) Don't be a PM in the early episodes
2) Keep your head down in the early episodes

Please add.

How about actually spending a few evenings reading up on Amstrad, it's history, how he started, what they used to make, how Alan sugar got where he is today, what they do now etc etc.......

Every year we seem to get to the interview stage and most of them admit they don't have a clue about Amstrad

I don't think you should say he made his money by making cheap crap that the masses could afford, which was made to look like it was much more expensive that it actually was. And that if he tried the same method today he would fail.

Which is why I don't understand how he is making any money today other than set top boxes.

Anyone actually bought any Amstrad products in the last 10-15 years?

Ha ha could there be anyone any more scummy than a Telesales Recruitment Agent. He could only be worse if he had a part time job as a parking inspector.
