Talking The Apprentice UK is back!

Quote:
The Apprentice

Wednesday 26 March
9:00pm - 10:00pm
BBC1

Sir Alan Sugar sets gruelling tasks for business hopefuls. Sixteen new candidates line up for the chance to win a six figure salary and a job with Sugar's Amstrad business. The teams are given two van loads of fresh fish and told to flog it all before their boardroom deadline. With 16 highly competitive candidates all desperate to prove their worth, it's not long before the teams split. Chaos ensues as the boys and girls race against the clock to avoid a showdown with the boss.
Naturally this year it will also be available on iPlayer if you miss it

At last, I've been waiting for news on this. Last year was great, surely no one can top Tre - he was just so funny.

"Leaked" contestant details:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1773
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...icle910081.ece
(both articles are strangely similar down to some of the paragraphs despite being in different papers - do "journalists" just lift everything from press releases these days? )

Usual bag of toffs and trainee barristers that all no doubt want to make a jump to a media career

Anybody see the sport relief 'celebrity' special last night? Was quite good but the standard of celeb was awful, even for a reality show! Who was Hardeep?

Looking forward to the new series.

I've seen the Hardeep bloke on the BBC "One Show" on the few times I've watched it, he's way less irritating on that than he was last night.

I thought last night's show was dire, it was basically a "who's got the most stupid rich mates with more money than sense" competition, and even then I assume that half the rich mates were all set up in advance, followed by a chance for Bernie Ecclestone to show that even though he's considerably richer than yeouw, he still has a terrible hairdresser. Dull. Looking forward to the real series far more. Stupid freaks are far more interesting and entertaining than rich freaks or socialite freaks.

Never heard of Hardeep before, and thought he was awful. Not at all funny, and he looked like an Indian Ben Elton with Orville on his head.

On the other hand, it was lovely to see Louise back in the limelight for a bit. Why did she ever go away? Why?

Nah, I think that was Rory saying that everyone should take their jackets off while working but he keeps his on to show he's the project leader!

Is anyone watching the American Apprentice Celebrity series? Makes the sports relief show look seriously amateurish, and the Brits hold their own thanks to Piers Morgan!!!

They filmed the final of this series Apprentice where I work. It was all rather exciting. This was way back in October. Never really got a good look at the teams as they were locked away in conference rooms. Although did see Sir Alan's assitants wandering around the place.

compared to the US celebrity apprentice and any other apprentice, this was dire. I do remember the last one being quite good but then it did have Piers Morgan in it.

I saw the preview the other day on BBC One but it didn't give away much. Glad I finally know when it's on. Have to remember to set the VCR (three dirty letters I know!!).

Looking forward to it!

The first series was superb. The 2nd was good, whilst the 3rd was ok. Fingers crossed this will be a return to form

Starts tonight and here they all are:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/

Nicholas de Lacy-Brown

'Born Nicholas Brown, this trainee barrister added the 'de Lacy' moniker, inspired by his grandmother, to his own name because he felt it sounded more sophisticated. Although not born into aristocracy, Nicholas feels most comfortable in the role of an artistic, country-hopping lord. A keen fan of amateur dramatics, he supplements his earnings with a mixture of artistic endeavour and property development. He is exceptionally proud of his academic achievements. Nicholas lists his interests as painting, visiting galleries, sunbathing and reading in the bath surrounded by candles.'

Mmmmm - you sound like a great bloke.
