you really have to look beyond HMV/Zavvi for your entertainment needs
I almost fell for that, then I thought Poo, I'm importing my PS3 from the US... Region coding... Ahhh!!!! Gonna have to keep reminding myself

If you had actually quoted from my posts in the context they were in then you would know that I had said that the average punter is not going to look twice at a hi-def format when they can get it for £5 on SD. Then again you will have just as many who would give that a miss too and prefer to buy some £2 shaky cam job off some Chinese bloke in the street.

For the vast majority of the buying public it boils down to simple economics. The only problem with the HD disc format is that it may never achieve anywhere near the level of proliferation that has been achieved with DVD so there is still plenty of time for another SACD or Laserdisc scenario.

You've gotta see it

Sorry mate you misunderstood me.

Someone on the blu ray forum stated that they cried tears of joy when they heard the news that Warner had gone blu.

Thats right, you heard it correctly.

They didn't cry because their pet had died, they didn't cry because their girlfriend had left them, they didn't even cry because Lou had insulted them on an internet forum.

Nope, they cried tears of joy because Warners had gone Blu!

Don't wanna end up with discs I can't use.... ie The Tudors Season 1 that's a nifty price for a complete season Not seen it but heard good things...

Bluray.com is scary... do you think the moment people go Blu, from the time they plug the machine in they get an instant labotomy? AM I going to become a Sony Lover?

I dunno, but a PS3 is winging it's way to me and I feel a strange sensation of Blu coursing through my veins.

I'll be buying WB on red until they stop producing... I likes my HD-DVD, the cases are nicer too

*buys a bunch of empty HD-DVD cases to replace the icky Blu ones....*

As for Blu in the veins... looking at disc reviews... looking forward to The Descent and Hairspray but disappointed with the HAlloween review

Where can you buy empty HD-DVD cases? I've got a couple of movies that should be in regular size cases but are in slim ones and the spines are slightly off.

Have you got any links? I've just had a look on both amazon.com & co.uk and couldn't them see on either.

Yes, but the rest of your movie collection still sucks.

You weren't one of those saddos who bought any old crap in order to hike up the Blu-ray sales by any chance?

Not picking on just you Roberto, but I get the feeling that a lot of Blubois aren't actually film fans. Looking at the bluray forum its almost like they have some instinctive need to give meaning to their lives through idolising a media format.

And for Zotar. Man, that guy has issues. I wonder if there is a little blugirl he can pick up in the midst of the celebrations?

Now that I've thought about it, I wonder if that VJ day photo was really Bluray day?

*sigh* You seem to care very much that i find this movie entertaining, why do you give such a **** what i like? It wasn't even the point of the post, people were moaning abotu expensive discs. and i show you a way to get a choice of over 50 titles for less then £12 each. end of, you seem to be taking this a bit personally.
