First Dance Song Suggestions ?

OK, I got married in florida 6 weeks ago, but the nighttime party is this weekend.

And I / we need to find a first dance song.

My suggestions have not gone down well, Goldie looking chains my missis is a nutter, and Jay Z's 99 problems...... I am not really upto date on "love songs / slow songs"

So I need some suggestions, the criteria is somthing not to long and not to cheesy. And somthing easy to shuffle around the fance floor too...

Apart from that, fire the suggestions away.. . . PLEASE !

Have you not got a slow song that was around when you both first met?

For me and Hubby, ours was Truly Madly Deeply. Feel free to chuck up if your stomach can't take it

We had 'Don't Want To Miss A Thing' by Aerosmith, which - in hindsight - meant I was shuffling around for about 5 minutes! Didn't really notice though, was caught up in the moment/drunk.

That was Ok, was nice to hear it at Hyde Park the other week.

Lamb - Gorecki
Sebastien Tellier - La Ritournelle (which is long unless you pick the remix)

Those would be mine.

I went to a chav wedding once (hey, you can choose your friends but ...) and they had that one that goes "Techno! Techno! TECHNO!" and they were rave dancing.

It was hilarious.

Anyway, I'd probably suggest Al Green's 'Let's Stay Together'

I've always fancied, as a cheesy joke mind you

Nothng's gonna change my love for you - Glenn medeiros(?)

or

Bring me sunshine - Morcambe and wise.

For some reason my girlfriends not keen on the second option

Yes. Can be tricky making sure it's back in it's hutch before the kids notice it's missing.

Yep, a cover of a Neil Diamond song

I think my choice would be: You're My Best Friend by Queen

I know. I was hoping that was what made the joke funny.
