European PS3 launch delayed until March!

US and Japanese launch still on track.

More news as I have it.

More news:

Launch delay blamed on shortage of parts for the Blu-ray part of the console.

Sony has reiterated shipment targets at 6m units by March 2007.

Looks like MS and Ninty have this xmas all to themselves!

If its true sony is dead xbox and nintendo will clear up
There is 1 plus though if they dont launch till then it will stop these ebay scammers getting the money. Because by march there should be plenty for everyone.

Hmm, the haha laugh at Sony part of me is receding back in the face of Microsoft having complete dominance of the main stream next-gen market. ( With the Wii happily co-existing with its own unique offerings ).

A friend who works for EA did mention that this would be the case a couple of weeks ago, although i like many others cannot find anything to do with this on the net.

Although i did see you posted the same thing on NTCS-UK forums.

Sony Europe is getting hammered at the moment so i can assume the news is true

Happy with my 360 anyway

I got the info from Bloomberg (news wires) it hasn't had a chance to hit internet sites yet!

This link has the news on its front page (if you think I'm telling porkies). The actual page seems to be down though (volume of traffic probably):

And cash in on the share prices! Maniacal...

No, benefit of the doubt on this one... I mean it's not that much of an imaginative leap is it?

By March there might actually be something worth playing on it.

Methinks Gamestation are probably in for a few angry phone calls from the punters who slapped down Ł20 or whatever for a pre-order.

I think blu ray is going to be one of the biggest mistakes Sony have ever made. I honestly cant say I have any intention of buying either a PS3 or a Blu Ray player when there are cheaper alternatives out now that actually work.

So Europe gets dumped on as usual? ... Is this punishment for the bulk of the negative press coming from Europe? .... Oh well, it clears the way for the 360 & Wii to dominate this coming Xmas & build up an even bigger lead on Sony that I dont think they will ever catch up on....
