Battlestar Galactica 4x01 - "He That Believeth in Me" **SPOILERS**

Veerryy niice opener, looks like they used the extra time to beef up the FX shots.

Loads of plot, and I was a bit meh about Baltar until

And the Anderson/Kara scene at the end, ooooh - a foreshadowing, maybe?

Good to see you back BSG - it's been a while!

BSG has a deliberately grainy look that means it's not the best example of HD you're likely to see.

HD version looked good to me, some fantastic detail in the exterior space shots.

Reasonable opener. Great pre-credit battle scene & the Starbuck mystery is intriguing, but Baltar & his new religious harem is all kinda silly, although it did make me chuckle a few times.

Without wanting to talk about things we're not allowed to talk about...

I'm so glad the American Sci-Fi Channel has a HD broadcast now. No more SD letterbox crops, ugh.

Thank the gods this is back. I was starting to go a bit strange with withdrawl symptoms and was seeing red lights on my kitchen toaster.

lol

I loved this.
The opening battle was superb (if a tad short).
Loving the Starbuck stuff. And

I think the Baltar stuff started weak until he cut himself shaving

So happy to have this back!

Baltar was amazing, James Callis really does some excellent work with Baltars monologues, and the scene in the bathroom was excellent. The story in the rest of the episode was good too though it lost it a little towards the end.

The CGI battle scenes were amazing, guess were going to get a few episodes with no CGI budget to pay for this visual excess

Glad its back and the S3 debacle can now be forgotten.

Those first ten minutes were fantastic, and Baltar's stuff was good fun. Starbuck is still annoying, but she's meant to be an annoying person, so . . .

What is kind of irritating is the cheap shocks / cliffhangers - ie the bit where Tigh 'shot' Adama and the ending, where there's no chance at all Starbuck is going to shoot. I'd rather have shocking stuff that actually happens, rather than have them say 'ha ha, only fooling'.

I can't believe we're losing this, the Shield and The Wire all in the same year.

Sucks balls...

Awesome space battle, it's right up there with the ROTJ/ROTS battles.

Plus Baltar stole the show. Head Six, the women on New Caprica, the threesomes with Caprica Six and D'Anna, and now his very own cult of hot women groupies. And "I cut myself shaving". Hahahahahaha. Will miss the "Jesus in space' look though.

And Roslin is seriously getting on my nerves, thinking she knows the right thing to do all the time.

glad BSG is back, the opening was excellent, guess the budget is gone for the next 3 episodes Any reason why the cult of Gaius is all women? (lucky git)

it seemed a bit of tease of having to wait a week to see what happens when it would of been better as 2 episodes together.

Apart from the opening battle found it a little underwhelming. Somewhere along the way they've got themselves too bogged down with the Cylon mythology. Mind you I'm still sore at them making Tigh a Cylon - guess it seemed like a neat idea at the time.

Something tells me that is designed to make it more difficult for the characters to differentiate between what is real and what isn't... which will almost certainly pay-off later on, knowing BSG.

If ever there was a show that would pull the trigger, it's this one. Mind you I can't see them doing it either.
