I'm not aware of Sci-Fi broadcasting anything in 16:9.

Lifeboat pops up occasionally on Film4 too I believe.

If you've got a TiVo you can of course put Mr. Hitch into a wishlist and let it record every film (until it runs out of space, which doesn't take long ).

If you own the following:

The 39 Steps
The Lady Vanishes
Rebecca
Shadow Of A Doubt
Notorious
Strangers On A Train
Rear Window
Vertigo
North By Northwest
Psycho
The Birds

Do you NEED any other Hitch DVD's?

Very true earl_roberts2002, they are without doubt the highlights - although for completeness & historical interest - I'm trying to get through the complete Hitchcock catalogue

I wouldn't disagree with that list too much, almost exactly the films I've bought myself.

however, I'd add Suspicion & Spellbound to the list - both excellent hitch films.

Also at a push, I Confess, To Catch a Thief and Marnie.

Personally, I'd add Frenzy to that list

I'd add "Frenzy" and "Marnie" to that list, personally. I adore "Spellbound" but it's a very, very silly film.

Still, you can generally pick up the DVD for around a fiver if you shop around.

Plus, released today were: 'Secret Agent', 'Jamaica Inn' and 'Under Capricorn'. I believe the RRPs are £9.99 each.

Yep - Secret Agent and Jamaica Inn (not sure about Under Capricorn) all released by Carlton at £9.99, although you should be able to pick them up at least a couple of quid cheaper online. Carlton also have a re-release of their Lady Vanishes disc lined up for 11th August.

Needless to say, if anyone picks up either of these discs, please get in touch and tell me all about it

I did try to contact their publicity dept to get more details about the disc specs... but they didn't bother to reply

BBC2 continues the Hitchcock 'season' with...

Dial M For Murder | Sat 12 July | 6.35pm
Under Capricorn | Mon 14 July | 1pm
The Lady Vanishes | Tue 15 July | 1.25pm
The 39 Steps | Wed 16 | 2pm

Can't wait to see Dial M.. and Capricorn - not seen either of these before

I'll still probably watch the other two even though I've seen them once, or twice before

Just as an aside, I ordered the following a couple of days ago.. sadly, they are only reprints of US 1 Sheets and not originals (in the region of £500+!), but very cool artwork nonetheless!!

.. ..

I'm pretty sure there's a "coffee table" book that contains loads of Hitchcock poster shots... I seem to remember that almost all the Czech posters features scary skulls (must be a Czech thing ).

...I'm not sure if it was Hitchcock Poster Art or not

They had that book in a second hand book shop in my town. It was there for ages, I went through it at least three times. They had it for about £7. Condition not bad. May have to check tomorrow if it's still there or not...

Juggler Where'd you get the posters from? I'd love that Vertigo one plus a Psycho one!
