Is that the recent US release? Is it any good? No sign so far of it coming out over here....

[EDIT: Not for Arnie's cock. Obvs. ]

Doesn't look fantastic, and they could have done a better job but still better than the DVD releases. However the worst thing about is the exclusion of the original mono track.

Maybe a future UK release can pull it out the bag?

You only have 9 posts and wouldn't be aware of the ongoing forum joke regarding 'gary'

well I got it, but can't imagine it's an in-joke at Pixar - what's the original context ? Is it a brand or something ?

Not that anybody is saying it was but there is no way it's an in joke. Most importantly it's a kids film and also Americans aren't known for their rhyming slang nor would they get the reference to Gary Glitter anyway.

It's a nod to Gary Rydstrom (Pixar's sound guy) but to us here it's ******* hilarious as it's a countdown to gary!

and now everthing that was instantly funny about it is rendered unfunny because of the need to over explain it all!

Watched Platoon for the 1st time in HD last night. Loads of little things in it ive never noticed. The insect bites all over Sheens face near the start beside the first firefight, or the bloke missing his arm after that fight. Other things as well like stuff written on helmets etc.

Lethal Weapon

I've probably seen it over 20 times in the past but have just watched it for the first time in HD. I can't believe i've never noticed that Riggs and the jumper aren't actually cuffed together when they leap from the building. A few seconds after leaping, they reach out to hold hands! Now i've seen it, it's even very obvious on the low res youtube clip.
