I normally like to get the best version of a movie so like to switch between the different regions. But as long as any of the big studios RC then there will always be a need for a region free machine.

I never said anything about the dvd playing - I have a multiregion dvd player for those.

Unfortunately there is no sign of that region coding disappearing.. and of course I have loads of dvds already bought which are R1..
