Amazon My Music - albums vanishing...

Has anyone noticed that albums you have purchased from Amazon, which used to appear in My Musc, have now vanished from My Music and instead appear in Prime Music?

All the ones I've noticed have still appeared in Prime, but as someone who pays for the 250000 song upload space I'm a bit miffed - I had Ill Communication by the Beastie Boys on there...when I went to play it recently I realised it was the radio version...

So I'm a bit ****** off - I'm getting different versions of the songs, which I didn't upload, and Amazon occasionally remove albums from Prime, so I may eventually lose albums I've paid for...

They announced they were removing the upload functionality a while ago.

That's really crappy! It all integrates really well with the Echo and the Echo can drive the Sonos too...
I'm also a bit concerned because some of the music I've bought from Amazon (I noticed James' La Petite Mort here today) is now appearing as Prime Music and not My Music...so if they drop it from Prime, I'll lose music I've paid for.

Yeah, I saw that, but that James album is definitely now showing under Prime and not My Music...in fact my James collection (all of which came from Amazon and included Autorip) is now split in half, with the ones now available in Prime no longer showing under My Music.

None of this really matters unless they drop them from Prime...then I wonder if they will reappear in My Music.
Also, I'm not happy about getting the possibly different Prime version of an album, which definitely happened with Ill Communication.

Google Music is now your best bet for uploading your own songs into an online service.... files are transcoded but they let you do 20k for free and google music connects with the Sonos and other services..

I used Amazon to back up my music but really don't need it any more. I'll just grab all of my oddities and stick them on Google.

I've heard rumours that Google music is some how going to be folded into You tube soon.

No idea how it's going to work.

There is going to be some kind of enhanced YouTube music subscription. I don't quite grasp how it will work but YT is already the second biggest music streaming service, even though that's not what it's designed for. The kids are happy to listen to playlists and albums on it, and I think Google just want to monetize it better. I've not heard about them bringing the standalone music service into YT though.

Yuck. I like Play a lot, and am quite a vanilla user. I listen to albums and it has pretty much everything I want to listen to. I just have terrible visions of being confronted by YouTube's 'wild west' of amateur uploads, live recordings, videos and lord knows what else when I just want to check out a new release.
