enjoyed season 2 but they do seem like they're making it up as they go along - it's all over the place at times

Just finished S2. Some good parts and some Matrix-style head-scratching, but disappointing overall. Didn't feel as nastily grownup as S1, almost as if they were dumbing down from an 18-cert to a 15.

Way too much of that hammy British guy (Simon Quarterman), and I felt Anthony Hopkins' input slowed things too much this season, but the scenes with Scot Peter Mullan were some of my faves (what a fab actor). And whilst the Native American scenes were beautifully shot, I did find them way too slow (especially that whole ep near the end). Uneven pacing made it unsatisfying to watch, and also difficult to work out the characters motivations sometimes. And there were way too many overlong shootouts ... enough, already!

And the final ep, I couldn't understand the 'geography' of all the scenes around the door - unsure if it was me, bad editing or if it didn't actually make spatial sense.

These might be useful, and are very well done.

I managed to remain spoiler-free for season 2, and binged-watched it over a couple of days this week (definitely seems the best way to watch it).
The first season I thought was one of the best thing I'd seen on tv in years. I enjoyed this season too, but it was lacking something for me compared to the first, and some of it felt like padding for the sake of it - eg Shogun World.
One thing that made me laugh was Angela at the Forge, going from rustic mud to Loreal model in the space of about 5 minutes. Also, that plan would have totally failed if the random soldier was a woman.

Lots to like too, though, especially Delores' descent and the exploration of what it is to be human, and how screwed up we all are.

Looking forward to season 3.

It dropped off the radar for me and it never managed to get back on it. I'll have a go at Season 2 in time, but having had a quick run through this thread I think it can wait for now. Still got Better Call Saul to finish, so that's got to come first, right?

Recorded the second series, deleted it as I couldn't be bothered. Not really sure why.

One reason might be that season 1 has a really good ending for the whole thing. If they'd never made any more I'd still be happy.

I'd agree with that.
