Sound bar set up issues

Can someone confirm if I’m going mad or not?

On our Samsung tv I have a hdmi cable going from the ‘arc’ input on the tv to the arc input on the LG sound bar.

I then have a hdmi going from the sky box, to hdmi 1 on the sound bar.

I also have a hdmi going from the PS4, to hdmi 2 on the sound bar.

After that, I have a Nintendo Switch going directly to a hdmi input on the tv, and a SNES classic going directly into the hdmi input on the tv.

Getting sound from the switch or SNES seems intermittent, with no cleAr way on getting the sound bar to accept ‘tv arc’ as a source.

The same happens when using Netflix as an app on the tv.

Anyone got any ideas? It’s driving me mad!

Sounds about right. A quick google and LG suggest using an HDMI cable with ethernet capabilities for best results with ARC.

I’ll keep battling then, as it’s not picking up sound from the SNES or the switch
