I started watching Goliath on Friday on Amazon (legal drama with Billy Bob Thornton as a washed up lawyer) - had finished all 8 episodes by last night, wasn't bad. Pretty good cast.

Watched a fair few new shows in the past month, only Westworld and Atlanta are still on the watchlist....

I'm a big fan of David E. Kelley's work so Goliath ticks all the boxes for me. Great cast, good dialogue, intriguing story & well-shot. Only watched the first but would have binged if my watch-list wasn't so busy.

Totally agree with the Exorcist. Four episodes in & no sign of it flagging yet. Only problem is the ratings are terrible so not sure how long it will continue to be shown...

No idea but I wasn't expecting either of those!

Ep6 was still kind of following the storyline but ep7 was like a whole new sketch show and very funny. I do hope it returns to following Earn and Paper Boi though.

Didn't realise he was involved, another new show to check out. This time of year is crazy for new entertainment.

Sold! I was just thinking the other day that for all the praise that The Night Of got, it's really no better than those early seasons of The Practice. it just has that HBO edgy sheen to it!

Binge watched Goliath a few days ago. Needed to actually search for it as was not on my dashboard yet.

Great cast, great story and loved the way it was shot and the music used.

9/10 for me

CBS have given full back 9 orders to MacGyver, Bull and Kevin can Wait.

So all will be 13+9=22 episode full seasons.

Earlier back orders like Lethal Weapon by Fox were only partial at 13+5=18 episodes.

I am amazed Bull is highest audience new drama but then CBS always skews old with that type of show as guess others have a better age 18-49 demo.

Still enjoying Designated Survivor, just wish I had an idea where it was going.

Eyewitness - Another Scandinavian drama remake, this time about a teenage boy having a secret gay romp & witnessing a multiple homicide involving a undercover FBI agent.

The opener was ok, with solid acting (especially the main female sheriff) & washed-out visuals but the actual story was thin & overall had a "been here before & got the t-shirt" feel to it...

Not tried Berlin Station yet as it sounds like a Homeland rip-off?

Looking forward to the new Hugh Lawrie drama, "Chance" that starts tonight...

Co-incidentally I'm re-reading Tom Clancy's Executive Orders at the moment which has the same plot device at the start (and, as all of you know, predates 9/11).

This is a a tad misleading - you make the first ten minutes sound like rape-a-go-go, which it isn't at all, thankfully.

I get that pilot episodes are all about set-up, but it takes so long to set anything up & gives no real clue about any of the characters. That said, it was vaguely intriguing, so I'll give episode 2 a shot.

I'm on the verge of dropping Conviction. I think I'm only watching it for a weekly fix of Ms. Atwell & her picking each week's case just to **** off her ex-boyfriend is getting old very quickly.

Bull is growing on me. It's fluff, but it's very watchable fluff.

Ditto Lethal Weapon, though they've dropped the ball by not having Murtaugh say "I'm too old for this ****" & shout "Riiiiiiggggs! Crazy sonofa...." every week.

Timeless is already starting to be a chore to watch. Love me some time travel, but the whole thing just feels so cheap & cheesy.

Chance was a top-quality bit of TV all round. Always nice to see more of Gretchen Moll too.

Maybe I've just watched too many of these types of shows, but I'm fully expecting

Wasn't sure about "Chance" after the opener but warmed to it more with the 2nd episode. The acting is very good as is the whole look/feel of the show. The lengthy scene in the Chinese restaurant was the highlight so far.

"Berlin Station" was fine too. As mentioned, it's dry & there's nothing you've not seen before, but a good, recognisable cast & nice location visuals kept me interested.

Second episode of "Falling Water" was as enjoyable as the first. Love the whole mood/feel of the show despite having no clue what the **** is going on!

Loved the 2nd episode of "Goliath" too. I'd so binge watch this if I had more time...

So glad I popped into this thread! My expanding watchlist now includes Aftermath (looks ropey but it involves an apocalypse or two so I'll give it a go), Channel Zero (trailer looks creepy), Berlin Station and Falling Water.

Just to add to The Exorcist, Glitch, Frequency, Timeless, Westworld, Designated Survivor and an abundance of returning shows shortly.

Good job I automatically filter out comedies, medical and legal dramas and cop shows!

I just started watching Z Nation, yes I know I'm a bit late. Apart from the odd duff episode it is so much more fun than TWD. Anyway I saw an advert for The Expanse, any good?
