Echo the above gritty and pretty brutal at times. Going to watch the third now. 6 quid a month for quality Netflix productions I like!

Yup, I'm loving this so far.

I am a complete DD fanboy. Growing up this was my favourite monthly comic book. As others say, I'm surprised just how violent it is. Going to squeeze in another episode before bed.

Thought Cox nailed it. Just excellent.

I really liked ep 1- but...

I know it's based on the comics' Kingpin storylines but the whole big-crime-syndicate thing is really, really overdone

Enjoying this.

Now we just need Marvel and Netflix to give Thomas Jane or Ray Stevenson a buzz.

Liking this a lot so far! Well made, nice balance of gritty violence and comic relief, and the casting is pretty much perfect (I can't remember the last time I was so quickly won over by the leading characters as with Matt and Karen here). Easily the best of the MCU TV shows; hope Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are as good!

Rosario Dawson? She was a nurse, not a doctor. (The character seems to be a version of Night Nurse from Bendis' Daredevil run.)

Call me dense but, it took me a few moments to realise why half the city was being rebuilt.

I blame the realism. Forgot we were in the MCU

I only just now got the connection didn't realise they were referencing the Avengers. Watched three this afternoon and absolutely top quality stuff and way above all the comic book shows from CW.

No whiny kids or moody teenagers in love triangles, just good old fashioned good story telling and fisticuffs. Netflix could be on to a winner here.

Of course, the only issue with referencing the MCU is you have to wonder just why that nice Tony Stark doesn't help out now and again....

All the Marvel movies have that problem but you have to let something slide.

The show is getting a lot of very positive feedback on various forums, so Netflix are onto a winner, which is great news for more seasons. I have seen some comments from parents whining that they can't let their kids watch it! ffs its rare to have a "hard edge" superhero tv show like this

Perhaps Stark could create some sort of Iron Man drone police force so he could be in numerous different places at once, stopping crimes across the globe... providing the drones don't become self aware and decide eradicating humanity is the way to go for a safer planet.

Hang on a minute...

Enjoying it - 4 episodes in. Just the right level of action/violence.

Watched 3 episodes back to back last night I love it, some brutal violence and the end of episode 3 saw Fisk looks like business is about to pick up.

I've mainlined this all day and loved every episode. There are so many Marvel Easter Eggs scattered through the series that I'm positive I've missed dozens. My favourite show so far this year and as for that suit ...

In my view is that he is more concerned with saving the world when needed, why would the any of the avengers (Barring maybe Hawkeye) be interested in low level everyday crime?
