Yeah, they crossed in the corridor and then the nurse said "You just passed him" I think.

I've surprised there isn't more talk about this programme here. Anyway,

I can understand some of the stuff on Luther being in the file, but why the big quick marks over who killed his wife? I thought it was pretty much an open and shut case on who killed her and they have Mark to testify to that fact too.

Every week I say I'm not going to watch the end credits so as not to spoil the next episode and every week I can't help it.
I wish they'd just show a post credits trailer, I'd find it much easier to ignore then.

Still loving this...

The start was a shock.

Regarding your 2nd spoiler I think it's someone else...not too hard to guess.

Amazing episode and totally shocking. Cheered at the first scene. Not so much cheering later.

Another really good episode but the post credits / trailers they keep playing on BBC One ruin it slightly for me. During the run up to this week's episode it kept showing Luther distraught so I was expecting what was going to happen which is annoying Difficult to avoid them too..

Great episode. Anyone else shouting 'Just start the car & drive off!' at the tv in the opening sequence?

The internal affairs thing is still bugging me though. Even for a show as ridiculous as this it seems dodgy. Where are their superiors? Why isn't Luther's boss getting involved? Why are they running it out of a restaurant basement? Why is the smug scottish copper so overzealous in his job? (I was really hoping Luther would just lamp him when he went to visit him) & surely there must be rules of some kind about involving Luther's girlfriend?

Hey ho, it's still highly entertaining stuff most of the time. Next week's finale looks even more OTT than usual.

As soon as those home invasion girls got away with not getting butchered last week, I knew they had something brutal coming up this week.

Stunning ending to this week's episode, but for me, it was already signposted by a review which said about the ending being a shocker.

Been a really strong series so far, so hope the finale lives up to it.

The ending was signposted way too early on. It's straight from the cop show cliché playbook. The only way it could have been any more obvious is if Luther had handed his notice at the beginning.

Enjoyable episode though.

He was trying to start the car when they smashed the windows wasn't he?

My reading of it is that the Internal Affairs guy is as fond of doing things 'off book' as Luther. Hence why the woman was trying to apologise to Ripley.

Stayed away from this thread until I'd seen the whole series. Superb TV. Loved the ending scene on the bridge and the Black Keys.....

I do wish this series had been better written.

I adore some of the characters
the acting's excellent, the stories are well conceived, but the contrived parts of the plotting don't half jolt you out of things like a bad horror film.

Plus it doesn't help that Luther seems to have lost any spark that would've made him

He does no analysis really, nor does he display any ambiguous morality for the most part, he just mumbles and acts sullen.

Overall though I really enjoyed it and look forward to more.

That was all over the place plotwise, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Who remembers a chubbier Idris slapping a dog in Ultraviolet...?

I cant help but think this would have been a better show if the Americans had made it, if only to get 22 episodes a season.
