Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

If this wasn't tied to the Marvel universe I'd have given up after the first ep. However, as I love all the Marvel movies I'm willing to give this a few more goes before passing.

The trailer for the next one looks promising.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

What's 1x02? Season 1, episode 2?

I thought episode 2 hadn't been broadcast yet?

In general a big fan of Joss. Loved Buffy, Angel and Firefly.
But I wish he would do away with nerd/geek characters.
The one in Dollhouse was annoying enough but
the two in this I just want to punch in the face until I get bored.

Still not feeling the love for this, the whole young, good looking group of agents is horrible and this weeks bad guys dropped directly off an A Team set.

I quite liked the pilot, but this episode was awful. A-Team indeed.

Kind of disappointing TV-by-the-numbers compared to last time, but worth sitting through for that final scene.

I really hope everything will become much more complex and serialised as the show continues.

What are people expecting? This seemed a perfectly decent episode for a TV show. It's never going to match the quality of the Marvel films due to lower budgets and short running times.

I enjoyed it a lot more now that I've got more realistic expectations for it.

I'm liking this a lot. It's not self-reverential, has a sense of fun and above all is a way of passing 45 minutes without having to do too much mental heavy lifting.

I enjoyed it. It's entertaining and the emphasis is on fun. And that cameo was a doozy!

Utter tosh. It's totally just a Saturday morning CBBC thing at the moment. In fact, it may as well have been an animated series instead.

As has already been said, the team is too young and, if not for the Marvel universe link, it would die a quick death.

It was never going to be as impressive as the films, but it still feels basic when you take that into consideration.

Just seems far too cheesy and comedic and as said above the two techies are so annoying.

Also if the cavalry is this awesome killing machine how come she struggled with one bad guy in the cockpit of the plane

It's utter garbage, but strangely compelling. Clark Gregg's acting style is like Shatner on happy pills - his delivery is one-note and bland beyond belief, but he's still immensely watchable. Maybe it's all that time in Tahiti.

Aye, it's quite poor. Lost 30% of its viewership by episode 2 as well. You can't just get away with a few cheesy one-liners, the storylines and characters have been dull as ****.

Most big shows lose a lot of audience on week two. It's rare that they don't.

I'd bet my house on a second season.
