Are The Beatles not on any streaming service? I guess they will be on iTunes radio?

Doesn't look like it, not on Spotify, Rdio or Napster. I'm sure Apple will pay them bucketloads for exclusivity...!

Google doesn't have Led Zep or Metallica either Not sure about any other big names. I guess this is where you're supposed to fill in the gaps yourself, but for me anyway, there's plenty of other stuff to listen to.

Really impressed with the Google music recommends. No dumb suggestions and all the recommendations have been spot on.

Not having led zep isn't a problem. You just upload your own copies.

Does it all integrate within the one app? Ie all your music + their library?

Still waiting for an iOS app but I'll definitely give them a go once it arrives.

The one thing I'm missing on Google Play compared to Rdio is that the former isn't so hot on 'new releases'. You could log onto Rdio on a Monday and get a pretty good cross section of what was out that week. GP is slower to update and not so comprehensive. The albums will probably be there but you would need to search for them, which doesn't really facilitate that whole 'I'll have a quick skim through stuff I'm less familiar with ..."

I've gone back from Spotify to Rdio for a month to see how it is with a Sonos system. It works very well, and apparently you can have up to three difference streams at a time (ie different streams in three different zones). With Sonos you can also group speakers together, so that makes it pretty flexible. Looking forward to adding two Play:1 speakers for the kitchen and office room to the 5 and Playbar!

Rdio probably works better than Spotify with Sonos as you have collections available on Rdio, but you don't get the playlist power with Spotify through Sonos at the moment.

I still have my Napster three month trial running. That seems pretty good too, but I definately prefer Spotify and Rdio.

I find that both Google Play and Amazon struggle to organise albums very tidily though.

And it's taken me over a week to upload my music to Amazon cloud player with around "70 hours remaining" for them to finish! I don't like only having a 1meg upload connection....!

There's a Google Play Music app now available for iOS Lou;

Google Play Music

I think it's only iPhone though. Works on my iPad but resizes.

Edit: Hmm. iOS6 or above only as well, so won't work on the old iPod Touch I use as my portable streamer around the apartment

I'm back onto Rdio at the moment. Not much between the two but I'm thinking I might get a second sub for the missus as you can get multi user accounts, plus with a US account it works out cheaper.

The problem I'm having with all these services though is that I've sent years building up track ratings, playlists and smart playlists in iTunes and it kinda feels like I'm starting again with Spotify, Rdio, Google Music. I know I can import iTunes playlists into them but they're hit and miss on accuracy and dependent on those songs (and those versions of the songs) being on that service, plus my iTunes smart playlists are constantly updating to remove the latest songs I've listened to to keep them fresher.

So still undecided....!

Has anyone tried http://oneplaylist.fr/?

It's supposed to let you save songs from Spotify, Rdio, Youtube, Soundcloud, etc to create playlists from combined sources. I can't register on the damn site though, seems to be a problem signing up with an email address (and I hate signing up to sites via Facebook!)

On phones it's random order only for artists and playlists. On the iPad you can choose the track order. Not sure how often the ads are though.

For those that care the full Oasis discography is now on Spotify. They are filling in the gaps now.

Recently signed up for Spotify Premium - I'm currently burning through all those albums that, for one reason or another, I never bought/got around to hearing.
