This is probably the film I've been looking forward to most all year, more so than any blockbuster. Knowing that it's about to be released is really exciting now.

They are still keeping tight lipped about the release date. But I too am so excited for this especially to get glimpse as to what DS9 in HD looks like.

Silly question, but relevant seeing we’re getting close. How are we going to watch this digitally? An encrypted YouTube link? In short will I be able to watch this on my TV without having to plug a PC into it?

I guess it'll be something like that. I mean I very much doubt they will allow you to download a copy.
Maybe something via ultraviolet, but that will mean unless you have a web browser on your TV, you'll be limited to watching on a laptop or phone

It's listed as a "digital stream". My guess is that it may be on the project website's backer area, along with the current exclusive videos.

Seeing as I am at the convention and they are still selling tickets I just bought one and now queuing to watch the documentary.

Also was at the DS9 producers panel earlier and Ira basically said as far as the powers that be that consider DS9 a failed experiment and a failure. I think he pretty much summed up that we won't be getting a HD remaster anytime soon.

Real shame no HD as seasons 1and 2 aside DS9 had the better writing and was a better show compared to TNG and VOY

Absolutely, they touched on things I hadn't even thought of, there is a story about Brooks shaved head and beard. The thing worked incredibly well as everyone genuinely seemed to like each other which led to some very funny moments.

I looked what they hammer out in the writers room for season 8 episode 1. And seeing the clips in HD looked so gorgeous, it was almost jarring even they used SD clips.

Worth the wait.

Just been going through by DS9 DVDs and ripping them to my Plex server and found that a number of the discs for S3/S4 seemed to have cracked round the centre. I vaguely recall people being worried about this in the original thread discussing the boxset and its packaging when they first came out. They do seem a bit more of a pain to remove from their holder but I am surprised they have cracked just sitting on a shelf. Didn't stop them from ripping though.

Also decided after all these years to pony up for Voyager as I found a decent price on www.zoom.co.uk

Don't forget the 10% code, should still work even if you've used it before.

Which version of the DS9 set do you have, I picked up the complete set for silly money* a couple of years back.

*Approx Ł10 less than one the 89 VHS's I still can't/won't throw away.

Is the Blu-ray about to ship? Just had this email, can't work out of they mean a reward like the coin or if the mean the physical copy of the doc.

Looks like What We Left Behind: Star Trek Deep Space Nine Doc is about to ship your rewards soon!

If you do not need to update your shipping address, you do not need to take any further actions. You're all set!

I wouldn’t imagine it’s the disc yet, otherwise we’d have it digitally by now

YEad, it sounded like the Blu was still a few months away. Q1-Q2 I'd think.
