You could try asking the members on a site like www.comicartfans.com perhaps? It's a very nice panel, frame it up and get it on your wall

For me most of the articles work, I've had interviews with Charlie Brooker & Matt Berry, articles on Tarantino & Frost & Pegg, enjoyed them all. Also love Jimmy Carr's spin on the old smash hits style of questions for people to answer; "Kill a baby and no one would ever know or a pensioner and everybody knows"

As I said I'm enjoying all the scripts, Frankies may be too shambolic and lacking direction but its too early to tell, whatever I love the fact its pure Boyle and creases me up in places, got to be the funniest of the scripts. Kick Ass 2 I love because I loved the movie (my fave of the year), not actually read the original but have read of the differences. Nemesis is probably the weakest, very simple, juvenile even, story so far that is starting to remind me of Death Note with its cat and mouseness, but the Police Cheif doesn't seem able to keep up so far. I loved American Jesus, that was a nice surprise when it started up, again a wish fulfilment style story so far but damn fun (even though I know its cliche in places, I'm enjoying it). Turf, great concept, shame about the size of the balloons - you think Millar would be editing it down somewhat, not all that dialogue is needed.

I still seem to be sticking with Clint and I'm not too sure why!

I already get Nemesis and Kick Ass 2 as comics and own American Jesus as a trade. Think there is something nice about being able to sit and read without fear of damaging the better copy that makes it worthwhile. Can't say I've really given FB or Rossy's stories much of a go and tbh they are pretty much the fillers for me. The articles I don't mind too much, but after the obvious celebs are interviewed I do wonder what would fill the pages.

Yeah - going to look at getting professionally framed when nip into town later
However for insurance (and being honest greed) reasons - be interested in value

Thing about them is that they are not the quickest to send out pre-orders so I could be still waiting come March

HSmith are not that great for stock either, their listed 1-2 week dispatch can sometime be ******** as in reality there is no stock

Yeah they can be a bit slow, although to be fair to them, I've done some pre-orders and they've arrived no later than a couple fo weeks and on the odd occassion before the release date, so it's a good find overall

The release date for these comic/graphic novels are more like a guide to be honest. Some shops/on-line retailers will often have them in stock a month before the release dates (Roy has had his dispatched already), but this can also go the other way as well!

Got the BPRD omnibus on Monday from amazon - very nice! Even includes colour versions of the covers - IIRC the paperback individual volmes only have a black and white edit of the covers.

I've not looked at mine yet, I've got so much stuff to read I'm getting Leisure Stress

My only immediate thought was that it could have done with being larger, but for £14 I'm not moaning

It was showing "in Stock" at the weekend so a few must have trickled through, but once it went out of stock it would go back to "waiting for release date".
and yes I got the £14 misprice too!

Still - three each book will contain three of the trades, and they're 13 quid in comic shops, so a bargain at £20 if you want to get into BPRD.

thanks for the responses - lve placed my order with Play.com as they have it at £14, so I can wait another couple of weeks to get it at that bargain price..!

slightly off topic, can anyone recommend an outlet where I can sell my unwanted comics to [not ebay, cant be bothered with shipping out single issues]??

THe kind of titles I have are as follows

Kane [Paul Grist] - Issues 1 [signed] to 19 + Burglar Bill Summer Special

Hate by Peter Bagge - Issues 1 to 30

Naughty Bits by Roberta Gregory - Issues 1 to 24

Strangers In Paradise - Vol 2 Issues 10-14
Strangers In Paradise - Vol 3 Issues 1-15

Sleaze Castle - Trade Paperbacks 0,1,2
Sleaze Castle - Issues 7 + 8

Hitman [Ennis] - Issues 1-8

Milk and Cheese - 1,5,7

Cerebus - Issues 187-226
Cerbus Zero
Free Cerebus
Cerebus Companion
Cerebus World Tour Book 95

Bone - Issues 1-32
Bone Sourcebook
Bone Holiday Special

Astro City 1/2, 10-14

Not your usual superhero fodder, I know, but I was hoping someone may have tried one of these 'bulk buy' outfits and just wanted a recommendation..

thanks!
