Ah, go on, count me in. I remember what a struggle this was the last time I did it, but I'll have a stab.

If I do go for film I've got loads of 400ASA cheapo Tesco 35mm and 400ASA Superia 120to use up...

...I hope that's not an indication of the July weather

400 film is fine in all UK daylight weather conditions, depending on the complexity of the camera you're going to be using (ie, fine with Holga's limited range of aperture and shutter speed (one of each) and very good with anything that has three or more aperture and shutter speeds (ie, your Lubitel). I mostly use ISO400 with my Holgas, sometimes I try and use a film twice.

I had to use most of my fingers to work out that with 400ASA film the lubitel would just about cope @ 1/250 f/22 if we get any elusive sunny 16 days...

Luckily colour neg film has more latitude than a crowd of cartographers doesn't it?

Haven't seen him for the past week, though he's just had his birthday so he could be away. I'll drop him a reminder.

Checking the long-ish range weather forcast and at least the first three days of July in Southend look to be warm & sunny, which is nice.

edit now showers are forcast for the third.
edit #2 showers are now not forcast!
