The KISS thread: End of the Road Tour in 2019?

Ok, so even I admit that KISS for the last 10 years have been nothing more than a tribute band to themselves...BUT,I still hold them as my #1 band...and have done since I first heard them in 1979.

Kissology Vol 2 is the latest release on DVD...of which I'm getting all 3 versions purely for the bonus disc

I'll leave this thread open for all things KISS related

I was a massive fan when i was a kid, saw they twice live, once with make up once without, they are still one of the best bands i have seen live.
funny i got into them with crazy nights and thought they were a new band then found they had done alot of albums so i started collecting kiss stuff which is now in my loft. been getting the kissology dvds which is the first time for a few years i have really listened to them, dvds are great. would like to see them tour here one more time. thought paul stanleys solo album was very goos as well

I've been a huge Kiss fan since I was a kid and while I never really got on with anything they released after Asylum, their earlier stuff I would still count among my very favourite music.

I have two daughters aged 6 and 3 and thanks to my endless playing of Kiss in the car they both love Kiss, much to my wife's dismay.

I saw a TV advert for a toothbrush yesterday that plays a KISS song for two minutes while you're brushing. Very weird I thought...

I've only recently gotten into them, can't say I'm a *huge* fan, but they do have some classic songs.

Saw them in 76(I think)- Free Trade Hall Manchester front row-nearly got my head blown off and suffocated with dry ice but it was brilliant. Black Diamond is superb.

Been a fan of Kiss since I first bought the Unmasked album in 1980, and it's still among my favorites along with Music from the Elder.

Been a huge Kiss fan since i saw them in Edinburgh on the lick it up tour. Think I have seen them 16 times at the last count. Always put on a good show. Just got Kissology Vol 2 still working my way through part one.

Funny I was watching a porno as you do a few days ago and they were shagging along to I was made for loving you. Done in supermarket style. Classic.

Nice to hear from another person who likes The Elder... an album that's on constant play in my car Pity it bombed and the planned movie was shelved.

Bob Brunsons "1st ever fan based tribute song" here...

http://www.songvault.fm/artists/bob_brunson.htm

I heard a funny version of Rock and Roll all Nite online a few years back...part of the chorus was "I used to rock n roll all nite, but now my hairs turning grey". Anyone else heard this ? I cann't find it now

[EDIT] It's this...Bob Rivers - I Used To Rock And Roll All Night[/EDIT]

Early reports are that Kissology Vol 3 is slated for a late Kissmass () 2007 release !?!? Surely that's wrong as Vol 2 has only just come out?

One of the easter eggs on the discs is never released Carnival of Souls studio footage...approx 6 mins worth. Apparently Vol 3 will contain more content than either Vol 1 or 2

More content? I thought it would be lightest of all 3! Top news though

I fear I may have gotten into them too late to be able to see them live. I was never a big fan myself, although I have liked most of the songs I’ve heard ever since I heard 'God Gave Rock 'N' Roll to You II' in the film Bill & Ted. Anyway my brother got into them a few years back which is when i started listening to more of their stuff.

Any ideas if they'll be touring the UK again? I've heard rumours they'll be back to the UK but I never believe it until I see it.

Saw them when they were last here...Wembley Arena 25/03/99.

Over 8 years later and still not been back Keeping my fingers crossed for one last UK date but I think it'll mean a trip to Europe if I want to see them again...and even dates in mainland Europe look less likely with each passing year.

Saw them in Chicago 2000

Full makeup, lowered from the roof to the stage to "Detroit Rock City", flames, smoke, confetti at the end. Paul Stanley and Ace Frehley in the right places.

Absolutely brilliant last night of our vacation
