Foo Fighters - new album - "In Your Honour" and "Best Of You" Single

http://www.foofighters.com/

Their new album released on 13th June. A double album. One side rock, one side acoustic.

And a preview of the new rock single "Best Of You" here.

Should be interesting.

Apparently they are going to be doing two 'tours', the festivals this summer doing the 'rock' side, and then a theater tour playing the 'accoustic' side.

Wow. Just watched all the DG vids of him talking about the acoustic tracks.

My expectations are waaaaaaay too high right now, but can't wait!

Acording to the review in this months Q. The Rock album rocks but the acoustic albums cack, apart from 2 tracks.

I was really looking forward to the acoustic album but didn't think much of the track that I heard on Joolls Holland a few weeks ago and then read the review in Q so I don't have very high expectations of it any more. It's a shame really as the acoustic stuff I have heard by them before - I remember hearing Tired of You at V a couple of years ago just before the album came out - has been excellent.

If Best of You is anything to go by then at least the rock album should be a cracker.

I'm still interested to hear it but not expecting much, each iteration of a Foo Fighters album is worse than the last.

Like I said in the other thread, I'm happy listening to The Colour and The Shape

Any pedants pointing out it's not the first and therefore not the best, by my logic at least, will get a mean stare shot at them.

The album is now 'out there' and from what i've heard so far, it's great!!

Have only listened to the 1st 8 tracks of the RAWK album in the car on the way to work ands it certainly DOES rock!! Maybe a little too much, whereas the previous albums have been broken up by the odd 'slower' track this album doesn't as they are all on CD2.

Opening track isn't that impressive but i'm sure it will be a grower. Stand out track is DOA (Track 4) for me out of the 1st 8. Will hear more on way home!!

Given the new album the once over and it's pretty good.

Stand out track for me is Razor, the last track from the Acoustic part of the album.

Probably warm to the other tracks after a few more listens.

Yeah, I like Razor too.

Only really listened to the acoustic cd. Best tracks are maybe the first one, Friend of a Friend, and Razor.

I'm disappointed though, not really what I was expecting. It's all a bit samey, I was expecting some nice feel-good stuff like Ain't It the Life but it's sadly missing.

does anyone know why Play have removed the 2cd and 1 DVD set from their site?
Annoying as they were by far the cheapest!

Sold out apparently.

Looking forward to both sides of this album. Heard a couple of the rock tracks and they are both pretty good.
