I was watching out of habit more than anything else but have just not bothered after the first one of this season. I will watch the Jim Clark piece though. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if they do anything else interesting.

I don't watch this show, but tuned as someone recommended the Jim Carl segment.

Decent episode right up until they started the chauffeur bit, then it was dreadful

Totally agree. The chauffeur section was beyond dumb & ruined what was otherwise a very interesting episode. The stats regarding China's motorways are mindboggling!

I thought that whole episode was pretty pointless really. Some of the scenery was amazing, but it's like they have opportunities to do something good but just concentrate on ridiculous set-ups with them behaving like complete buffoons.

Just a little bit xenophobic too, spending so much time basically pointing their finger and saying "ooh, look how weird the Chinese are!"

I wonder if the number plates on the cars were a coincidence?

The EP9 looked nice, but I couldn't get the Commodore logo out of my head when I saw it...

Well, Scotland was very pretty. Other than that, it was all a bit meh. The drifting bit was tedious & felt like it was only there to pad the running time.

Also, I'm not quite sure why they kept banging on about that Lancia being one of the most beautiful cars ever made. It looks like something someone designed as 'futuristic' to go in a sci-fi film made in the 70s. & not in a good way.

Glad it wasn't just me. I thought it was pretty ugly looking.

Quite enjoyed the episode though.

I skip through all tent stuff these days.

Clarksons boot cut jeans annoy me as well. Boot cut jeans should be illegal.

Season 3 of TGT has been very 'meh' so far. May and Hammond just look bored and the few laughs there are seem very staged and fake. I've only seen the first episode of the latest Top Gear so far, and it was far more entertaining.

Sad to say that the glory days of the Clarkson/May/Hammond team are over now :-(

Watchable as ever & it had a spattering of decent moments following the usual routines, but there was no need for that to go on for an hour & twenty minutes...

Quite enjoyed this weeks with the RV's, but it's still miles behind Top Gear of old for me.
They all just look tired and don't seem to be enjoying it as much as they used to.

I think the constant modding of the cheap cars they buy is just becoming dull. It was watchable but it doesn’t have the X factor that it once had.

I quite enjoyed it myself. Even Mrs F. didn't pick up her Kindle.
