A bunch of Crucible "fixes" to make us need to play even less each week.

I was just waiting on a Warlock bond which dropped on my first milestone yesterday

Have a spread of elemental weapons in your fireteam. All have the same subclass element (Arc is recommended) and burn down the boss when that element is active.

I was being hopeful trying to finish 2 in one night as I'd gotten my Hunter's legs earlier from the flashpoint:EDZ milestone.

Might come back for one more go next week but with WWII out in 2 days its highly unlikely now.

Thank you to whoever in the clan played the Nightfall this week. I collected my engram and got the 300 helmet I needed to complete my Titan. Didn't even need to fire a single bullet and now I'm officially done

Curse of Osiris DLC stream today, anyone tuning in?

I feel like this could be make or break for D2 but cant see that they would have addressed the community concerns in such a short space of time

No. This and DLC 2 are part of the 1st season pass.
I can’t see it resolving all of the community gripes tbh unless it also contains some other changes implemented now the live team are in control.

It’s all well and good having a procedurally generated patrol area but if there is nothing to grind for people will lose interest once you’ve levelled up and got your gear to max PL.

The term ‘new raid content’ could be good or bad.

Destiny are not happy they got caught out

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...-how-you-think

Quote:
"We've seen community discussion around XP gain in Destiny. After reviewing our data, we agree that the system is not performing the way we'd like it to. Today, we'd like to describe what's going on under the hood, and talk about what you can expect going forward when it comes to earning XP in Destiny 2.

"Currently, XP will scale up when playing longer or fixed duration activities like Crucible competitive multiplayer matches and the Leviathan Raid, and XP will scale down when playing activities that can be quickly, repeatedly chained, like grinding Public Events. We are not happy with the results, and we've heard the same from the community.

"Effective immediately, we are deactivating this system.

Would anyone fancy an early evening bash at the Raid on Friday night?

Me and my son are around and will be giving the Guided Game route a go if not.

Also popped it onto the100, so let me know if you're up for it. 6pm start.

I can't see the Warmind dlc (out 3 days ago) keeping players around for long, certainly not if the response it's had here so far is anything to go by. Is anyone playing it?

The solo campaign is very short, it's harder to level, and there's a colossal bug that doesn't register heroic strike completion. I can't comment on pvp or raid because I don't do those, but I can't see it tempting many lapsed players back. Not for long, anyway.

A friend said it took him two hours to do the solo campaign.

Played the last DLC and it was naff. This sounds even worse so I'm not going to bother.

Shame, as it's a great game at heart.

The campaign is maybe 5% of the content. There is a lot to do and new gear to grind for in content that is really difficult. Whether that gear will be any good or not though is the question but I found it worthwhile to revisit.

I do feel for content providers though who implement features to appeal to the whole playerbase such as the new 45 collectibles and Rasputin Nodes where Youtube streamers desperate for content have video guides up within the first 24hrs documenting everything.

I'm avoiding these and just playing it through at me own pace.

Bungie were the ones who crapped over the series. They entirely rebooted both games shortly before launch and led to them both being delayed. They were the ones who pitched the idea of the Eververse and microtransactions to Activision. They didn't have the resources to create the expansions that they agreed to so Activision stumped up two of their studios to help.

The whole thing was mismanaged by Bungie from the beginning.

It's also pretty obvious that Activision are slashing costs across the board. Admittedly most of their problems are their own fault for being greedy like every other third party AAA publisher. Bungie would have been better off staying under Microsoft's Game Division.
