This is not how we want players to behave. Take Messi, we all know he can score from all angles, but he passes to players in better positions, & they in turn often score a goal as a result. The favour will be paid back the next time. Everyone wins. Instead of 'some on here' running me down for my remark, take a look at the game & see Lukaku's reaction, he was well ****** off. The same for other players when they are in good shooting positions & the player with the ball goes for goal at an impossible angle. We know sometimes it comes off, but this is a game of strategy & getting a goal is the ultimate end for ALL players.

Reading that I’m reminded of, what I believe was the fast show sketch, with the chap having no idea watching football

It’s like someone has just taken time to write down football “facts”

Never known it so quiet in here. No comments on the Reading match or the draw?

Six wins on the bounce is a great stat, but more than that, this is football that is good to watch. It's not always pretty and we're still nowhere near a Man City or anything but it's more like the team (and club) that SAF left.

If Spurs had equalised today, which they probably deserved, it wouldn't have taken away from the performance. Everyone worked for each other.

It was, unfortunately that game had great significance and was key in us winning the league. Today will be quickly forgotten.

We played very well in the first half, and could easily have scored more. spurs didn’t even have a shot on target.

It’s expected that a home team losing 0-1 will come out and attack second half. We were somewhat ragged, rode our luck, but deserved to win based on first half and our resilience in the second.

Well done OGS - showing everyone it’s disingenuous to portray him as someone who just makes the lads smile.

Every post-match interview I've seen has focused on this - "isn't he a happy chappie keeping the seat warm whilst we wait for someone else". I don't think he's the finished product, but then who is? Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho have all failed to do what he's done. He deserves to be in the mix, and should be considered first.

I suppose he is still under contract to another club, I can't see anyone officially deviating from that, even saying he'd like the job permanently. It'd be a bit awkward when they give it Rafa Benitez on a permanent basis, for him if nobody else.

I don't see they are in any massive rush to offer him the job, might as well keep their options open as long as possible.

A lot might depend on who is available.

It's the best we've played against Brighton since they got promoted. It's not just about big smiles and happy players, we're having a go at teams that we would have tried to pass to death in previous years.

Rashford's goal was great, too.

If we can hold on here and Arsenal get something out of Chelsea, then that would be a great day of football.

Pogba being far too casual in possession...we really are hanging on now, could do with a goal from Luke!

Yes far too many people switched off this second half.

Herrera had a great game again though.

Forgot this was even on. Emirates looks half empty. Sad how it's come to this, when I was a kid, the FA Cup was everything.

Should be a good game.
