Is Amazon Prime 'No Rush' delivery not a thing any more?

The last couple of orders I've placed, 'No rush' delivery hasn't been available as an option. I'd assumed that was just because of what I was ordering and thought no more of it.

However, I'm about to buy a DVD and it isn't available on that either. Checking the Prime benefits help, in one place it says 'No rush' with digital credit is still available, and it another it isn't mentioned at all.

Have they ever-so-quietly removed it now? It used to be one of the major benefits of Prime as far as I was concerned, so I'll be a bit miffed it that's the case.

I'm not seeing it as an option either.

I thought they'd made it a £20 minimum, but I haven't seen it for a while either.

I noted a while ago they'd stopped offering the credit. Now it looks like they've got rid of the option, I guess what is the point in getting your stuff at a random date in the future when you can get it next day.

I guess they've sorted out the logisitics, I think early they used it when they were swamped for delivery.

Just spoken to an Amazon contact and they've confirmed it:

Because if I'm in no hurry, I get a quid to spend on stuff for me when I buy Christmas presents! Loads of the MP3s I bought from Amazon have basically cost me nothing!

Bloody tightwads...

Presumably they’re reducing the price of prime to reflect the loss of this benefit?

Yeah I used to get loads of credit at Christmas and spend it on MP3s and Kindle books. Guess they caught on.

Probably used to get £50 a year, used to split my orders and so fourth.

No wonder they got rid of it.

Interestingly my wife was far more likely to get a Pantry credit than a digital, so we always ordered on my account.

I know one year they change it to pantry credit at Christmas, presumably to stop people taking the ****.

Yeah a real shame. The cheeky buggers don't exactly guarantee one day delivery all the time either. I used to build up a load of credit then buy Kindle books I fancied when they dropped in price. This year I've not spent as much as a result and changed to Argos etc.

I mentioned this in a post a few weeks ago and was immediately swamped with replies from people saying that they got everything the next day.

I'd say it's running at about 50/50 for next day availability of items marked as 'prime' at the moment.

I do get things next day when they send them, but I'm referring to items down as Prime but with a delivery date of 3 days away, etc.

I had an email yesterday reminding me that they're shutting down the music upload facility in January too. Along with the fact that I can't use their photo backup because I store my pictures on a NAS and they don't support that, I'm starting to wonder where Prime is really worth it.

Yes, that's what I was complaining about.

I had a prime item said it would be delivered on Thursday and turned up today.

It’s worth taking a few minutes to complain, they usually give a free month of prime

I don't think I can complain it was early. I've already had a few free months recently.
