Are the three new songs from the album though or are they just standalone? I can't remember what they said when they started releasing them but I'm sure they were talking about doing something different?

I think Something Human is my favourite of the three, followed by Thought Contagion. Its an interesting trio of songs and their videos are good too. The reaction to Something Human online seems to have been par for the course when it comes to anything new by an established band/franchise - "everything sounds the same, I wish they'd try something new".... "what is this ****, why don't they just do what they did on the last album/movie"... repeat ad nauseam.

Drones as an album never really clicked with me, will go back and listen to it just now.

I still think 2nd Law benefits from a different track order which I think we discussed on here somewhere....

It's supposedly all coming together as an album, but it's a strange approach. Dig Down came out about a year ago!

I'm wondering if they'll end up just releasing everything as singles online, and then do a physical compilation release at the end of it.

Pressure took me two listens to absolutely love it.

Then I saw the video. Dear God, Critters, BMX Bandits, BTTF, Ghostbusters and Terry Crews. Perfection.

Managed to get tickets for the RAH charity gig in December this morning, although they weren't cheap. I just need to keep telling myself it's for charity...

I forgot about it but, looking the prices, they were more than I said I was willing to pay. It will be awesome though. Enjoy!

Seeing them play the RAH is one of my gig highlights, despite being right up in the nosebleeds.

Matt playing Megolomania on the organ was truly something else. Hopefully they’ll do something similar again.

Didn’t even look for tickets this time round unfortunately.

Mine arrived a day before release, but I’ve only had the chance to listen to it twice. More consistently poppy than the last few albums, but that means it flows well at least.

I love it. The only one I’m not keen n is stand up and fight. Propaganda and break it to me are amazing.

It’s more accessible and consistsnt than Drones imo and been on heavy rotation compared to the previous album.

I wasn’t keen keen on the singles but they fit well here.

Strong Album from the boys.

Listened to it a bunch of times, and I’ve come to realise I love it. A nice surprise, as I had mixed feelings on the singles.

The last few albums, I’d wanted them to drop the fluff and just make a full-on rock album again. Instead, they went in the opposite direction and it paid off.

There's simply not one I skip. And I can't say that about most the albums they've made.

Got tickets this morning to see them in the Netherlands next year. Was remarkably easy!

Same, actually. I even like Get Up and Fight. Whole thing also works better as a collective than listening to individual songs.

I’m really enjoying the new album too and have to agree, that was one of the smoothest pre-sales for any band. Got a couple of tickets to see them in Manchester as most big bands seem to think that’s far enough north to venture these days. It will be the first time my son has seen them - i remember him dancing along to The Resistance in his car seat. Scary stuff.

Everyone must be listening to a different album to me; instantly forgettable IMO.

On my first listen I just thought it was ok & couldn't understand all the positive feedback on here.... BUT now after four full listens, I'm impressed & IMO it's one of their most consistent albums so far. However, it has nothing on it I'd say was "excellent" but an album full of solid, good tracks from start-to-finish...

That’s the thing. Their last few albums had at least one or two great songs on it, but were all poorly structured. Drones for instance sounds like two or three different EPs stitched together.
