Recording confusion!

On my old TV recorder I was warned - at the time of selection - that I was already recording in that time slot.. Now I am able to pre-select half a dozen programs for recording and it is ONLY at the time when recording is taking place that a box appears asking me to get rid of conflicts. This is not at all good when one is out or in bed and misses a program! Liverpool beating Arsenal 4-3 for instance! Is this problem only with Bush or do others have the same software? Is there a Recorder on the market that does not have this irritating software shortfall?

Humax tells you if you try to set more than 2 at same time.. My Topfield 5800 from 2006.. Still in use today also does. It'll be the Bush Software..

Both Humax (Freeview & Freesat) and Sky boxes tell you if you have too many recording scheduled when you try to go over the two allowed.

Is it because you are also watching the telly that it is a problem though? Mine will let me record two if I'm not watching live TV, however if it has two set to record and I'm watching it, it'll warn me and then lets me delete a recording or switches to a channel it is currently recording. I don't have the one you have, but is the issue that you've not got it in standby mode?
