Surely they should have shopped Pogba's head for Rooney's, and captioned with "Rooney out on the pull".

5 years with an option for a 6th. Fee to be announced.

Happy with that. He's expensive, but is he anymore expensive at 23 than any number of Schweinsteigers would be at the other end of their career? I think not.

Also, it's annoying all the Liverpool fans on my Facebook, so that's an added bonus.

It is expensive - but signing a player in his prime and he's exactly what we need. Him, Bailly and Zlatan add some much needed strength and power.

Hopefully Miki will provide the creativity. Mourinho just needs to drop Rooney and we finally have an attacking, pacey, strong team.

Fee is £89m - so new world record.

City paying £48m for Stones has helped to make Pogba look like a bit of a bargain, too.

Higuaķn £78m, and whatever Lukaku goes for to Chelsea will put the Pogba fee into perspective.

Very good interviews, comes across far better than the majority of footballers these days.

Still can't believe we've got him back - I was certain we were going to be spending the next decade+ regreting losing him whilst he dominated for City or Real. Huge money obviously, but, as a fan, I'd prefer correcting the mistake rather to having the £89m sat in the bank. The only debate is if we'd have been better off spending that money on a few players than just the one megastar, but in the context of our business in this window then I think it's definitely the right choice.

He's obviously improved as a player whilst he's been away, and it appears he's been a Jose target for a little while - let's see what they can do together

I really hope we start playing attacking and exciting football under the new regime...but...let's just say it starts looking 'new manager, same old garbage performance', how long before we start turning on the special one? ...Christmas??

With the same team under Moyes & van hell, I would expect nothing. I don't expect a perfect first season under TSO, I expect a rebuilding side whilst maintaining a steady improvement.

...that's sounds very patient for you Micon although I agree we should be quietly optimistic...after all, we've kinda got used to mediocrity at United over the past few seasons

Well, I think we're going to win it.

The signings we've made are all strong additions, last season we were underperforming in every area apart from GK and, apart from City, nobody who finished above us has really strenghtened (yet).

I think we will be on the race I and then who knows as there are so many variables and unknowns this year.

But having a proper go at the league might erase the post Fergie era (clueless Moyes and joyless LVG) we have had to endure.

They are kidding, aren't they. "Pogba is suspended for 1 game because he was booked twice in Italy"

That's how bookings tend to work; leaving one association doesn't usually let you off any ban you would have served if you had stayed.

It is, but it shouldn't be, not for bookings. For sendings off, yes.

It's no biggie though, he was at most going to be on the bench.

Mourinho managed to make Valencia and Fellaini look good - but he's not a miracle worker, Rooney still looks garbage. Would love to see Rashford in this team instead of Rooney. Pogba in for Herrera when he's fit.

The players had a lot more freedom today and no nonsense defending. Bailly looks a fantastic prospect, and Blind is a perfect partner. Will be tougher tests, but we would have struggled under the previous two managers.

Its like we have our Club back! Pogba is a revelation - a midfielder who can take players on, go past them and be creative. Ibra has made a great start, I was very sceptical, but clearly he doesn't need to run around a lot, great touch, great presence in the box.

We are also a big team again - i'm excited to watch this team. Its been a boring and uninspiring 3 years.
